Volvo 122s Amazon Door Handles and Panels

This go around we finish up the door panels and handles I started a few weeks ago, The seats are still out but the interior is almost finished, or at least where I want to get it.

I had to replace my passenger side door lock cylinder today. This video really helped me! Only issue I had was trying to get that window cord back onto the wheel. Took me a while to figure out where to adjust to loosed tension to get cable back on wheel.

I’m glad I could help! All of that stuff in the door is really pretty simple, which is nice. Modern cars have such complicated doors. It’s crazy. Once you understand how everything works it’s pretty easy.

My Volvo specialist in BC had a specialied tool for popping off the window winders. He said he bought it decades ago.

The benefits to amateurs like myself are primarily in the fine points of dot it yourself videos are in the clearly presented fine points - to prevent mistakes. I have seen two other videos on this topic and they all left me with questions - Bello included. I gave a thumbs up nevertheless and wish you success.

Thanks Russell. I need to take the passenger side apart again and do some adjusting, but it works for the most part. If I were more organized I would script these and make how to videos, but really I’m just sharing my experiences. Thanks for the thumbs up.

If you have rusted front floor wells check your chassis members under the bulkhead because water and dirt run down and collect further down, Sit there and eventually rot thefloor.

The floor pans in my car are original. I just had to do a little patching on them.
