It's very accessible under the car. I did mine no problem. This video was jut to show in a better view.

What tool did you use
@andycanfixit2 жыл бұрын
@@AZACKAL It's called a blind bearing puller.

I got this a while ago taken care of. Oh well. I got it using a ball joint puller by grinding the teeth down to fit in the collar sleeve past the internal teeth. I didn't need to cut my collar sleeve like they did or nothing :) (thankfully because i was trying to pull a good one off)
@NinaYo4015 жыл бұрын
Now do it do it “easily” while under the car. Enough roof for the slide hammer under an xc70?
@amazighman22 жыл бұрын
Good job. They say these collars are glued in with epoxy resin , do you think yours might have been replaced before hence the easier removal?

you only have front wheel drive. the connects your rear wheels.

This is fake news. First that thing is glued in, need to heat it up.2nd slide hammer alone is not enough. Need to remove the fender and use the car body to pull on the sleeve.

Im not a mechanic but listening to all the horror stories of others i decided to go at it myself and i decided to share my story. Its unfortunate you are looking to turn people off this method but i suspect you are trying to do this for a reason. Let the people decide if this does not work, it worked for me and will for others. The one note i would like to add is that i have nothing to protect or i am not making any income from this post, maybe that's why you call "fake news"
@darylrobert36734 жыл бұрын
@@morrisongroups okay, i can only assume that this part had been replaced by a previous owner. This part fails often and most dont notice or like my car bother to replace it. I am no mechanic but have done this on two of my cars and both were really stuck in there.

@@morrisongroups Hey when you replaced the part. Did you do it with the Angle Gear still attached to the car
@amazighman22 жыл бұрын
@@ellis2311 the part is behind the angle gear , its actually in the transmission
