Thanks! I used my experiences and calculations from building V8's when spec'ing this one. It came out really well I think 🙂

Can You make a video about the making of this B20
@aletechservice82634 жыл бұрын
@@floeki-jekker Too long ago it was built so it's a bit late to do a video. However I do remember some details: block bored to 92 mm, decked the block to zero piston height, H-profile rods, JE pistons, cylinder head was of course ported but I have no flow numbers, carbs are 2 x Weber 45 DCOE, cam was 296° duration in/ex with 12.0 mm lift. Oiling system was Auto Verdi dry sump and ignition was the electronic 123 Ignition.

I've got the service manual on my 71 142S. It's supposed to run on 120+ octane. Good luck finding a good running b20 these days...

I need this installed in my 142 LOL

@@NilesProductions should do good 👍🏻 In a car with manual transmission I'd step up one size in cam, but this engine was permanently engaged to the prop shaft in a small boat so it had to pull good from start.

With that straight pipe it could be any four cylinder. Not the B20 sound you remember.

Sounds having somewhat unsyncronized carbs?
@aletechservice82633 жыл бұрын
Yes, and a very small leakage in one of the carb spacers. This was the very first start up so those small issues were taken care of before going to the dyno.
