Awesome reveal, er, unboxing. Loved the interaction between miniature and real size. The car: gorgeous exterior design. Innovative and pretty interior. The safety features sounds capable and promising, with one flat spot: touch controls and screen-based controls. Those require concentration and taking one's eyes off the road, the opposite of safety. Otherwise, love the new design direction of Volvo, a design that was already stunning handsome and timeless. This EX30 is going to be a huge hit in cities. Right size outside, roomy inside, stylish to the max, and plenty of range for an urban lifestyle.

In the EX30, the screen has a high position with the driver information placed at the top, allowing the driver to glance at it more easily compared to a traditional setup - their eyes don’t need to move too far from the road - Anthony

Great ad. The EX30 looks like an excellent vehicle. I hope it can play a part of reversing the trend toward ever larger vehicles on our roads and showing what is possible in a small package. One problem as the tech gets better NO BUTTONS!!! I mean, if you are driving alone you know you have AC controls right in the hand , you get a muscle memory But now one has to click on screen , isn't it more distracting, Volvo? Increasing accidents What we prefer is physical buttons + voice control not anyone alone.

Voice command doesn't require muscle memory.... Plus, most folks don't actually use muscle memory alone, they still glance at where their hand is going... and that's really all it takes to reach out to a screen too.

Click voice button (or say the activation phrase)... wait.. say your command (Lower volume)... wait. Still not low enough? Do it again. Say activation phrase, wait, tell it to lover volume.. wait.. and so on. With a knob.. reach out, turn, done in less than 60 milleseconds. Voice commands are highly over rated.

Looks really great and well sized for those of us with V40s and looking to stay with Volvo, although I am still surprised they didn't replace what was one of the best selling and most attainable Volvo's. An instrument panel looked very conspicuous by its absence, so I am guessing Volvo provide some way of monitoring your speed in the drivers line of sight via a HUD?

A stark contrast to your typical "Buy this because it's new" or “Buy this, it's on sale" car ADs. A wonderful blend of creativity throughout the exposition. This well-crafted marketing, use of upcycled material, coupled with Volvo’s excellent safety ratings are the kind of things you’ll only see from a company that views its customers as more than just numbers.

Congratulations on the new vehicle and the fantastic presentation. The car looks really great and makes you want to take a test drive. The only thing I personally don't like is the display in the middle. Apparently that's modern now. I can't get on with these mounted monitors. But that is my personal taste.

This is a superb video. I’ve owned six Volvos (I’m currently driving an XC40 PHEV which has regrettably been discontinued in the UK) and in theory this should be my next car, except…. 1. The charging network in the UK is terrible. I’d never dream of going on holiday in one with the current state of charging 2. Great big central touchscreens do not work. I can’t believe a company with a reputation for safety has done this. I suspect buyers will come from retired people as how on earth will younger people with huge mortgages afford one. Remember how the Honda Jazz was targeted at the younger generation and look who bought it! So for me, this is going to take some thinking about. I love Volvo and have been very loyal. I’m not sure if that relationship will continue. I’m reckon I have a year to make up my mind.
