Proud owner of a 2016 / S60 (bought used in 2022 with nearly 150k miles and in GREAT shape! - thank you previous owners!!). Have been a huge fan of Volvo's since the 80s and was teased quite a bit about it, as I was a teen and back then it was said that Volvo's were for 'old white people'. Took my hard-earned savings and bought it outright when I saw it in the lot. This car was destined to belong to me. Every day I ask myself how can a person fall in love with a car?! I smile every time I look at it in my driveway! The super sensitive sensors get on my nerves sometimes but I'm thankful for the alerts as they are there for me and my passengers protection. One day I may upgrade to the XC90 - love the size and interior. But no matter what, I'll still hold onto my first Volvo (sentiment). I will remain on team Volvo for life!

Worthy upgrades for the XC-90, but I can't help but think this is nothing more than a facelift that should have debuted in 2021. I'm not sure this look will be able to carry sales for another 5+ years. I hope all is well with Volvo. I love my S60 so much, I will consider a new Volvo anytime I car shop in the future.

I could not agree more. I’ve got a 2021 XC90 T8, I’ve been looking to upgrade but apart from a new front bumper and a slightly larger infotainment screen… what’s new? It’s the same car. To be honest, my car felt dated when it was new in 2021. This little facelift isn’t doing a lot. I think Volvo is being really lazy with the XC90 and it’s falling behind the competition in terms of tech and luxury. I’d have liked to have seen some much more meaningful changes.

I respectfully disagree. Volvo is known for riding out a design with minor changes for a decade. Volvo sales have never been hurt because of this. Volvo sells more cars by reputation such as brand, safety, and durability than they do by complete cosmetic changes. I think they'll do fine. I love my 2019 XC90 R design and the simple changes they've made to the new XC90 are subtle but beautiful.

I'm so happy with my 2013 XC 60.. still with nice ride. I do take care of my Volvo tho ' i.e. oil change every 3 months or as needed. During the oil change, I would always ask for the service to check everything, tires, brakes, all safety features & they do it complimentary. I have done this since I owned my car. Happy owner of a Volvo.

My S60 T5 AWD 2018 is still good modern look at 100,000 miles. Still runs great. Just that I don't understand the dealership when asking about transmission oil change. They said the transmission does not need to be changed as it's good for life. They need to be updated. Since they refuse to service the transmission, I did it myself. The trans fluid was as dark as a moonless night. It took 2 drains and fills to look and smell nice again. Be aware!

The automatic breaking really works. I’ve had a c40 for three years now. I absolutely love it. The best car I’ve ever had. I’ll never go back. Can’t wait to buy another one…after I pay this one off, of course.

My first Volvo was a 1981 45, 4 speed, with an electric overdrive. It was our family hauler for 12 years. I currently drive an XC 60 plugin hybrid polestar. It has made driving fun again. I like the flexible approach Volvo is taken with the EV approach. We won’t be ready for an EV for many more years. There is no infrastructure.

I have always been a loyal Saab/Volvo fan and owner of these great Swedish vehicles (me being half Swedish myself) and yes, I cried after what GM did to the Saab company, but we still have Volvo to look up to! I just have to point out one thing that kind of "urked" me a bit when the CEO mentioned that he couldn't believe that he got paid to drive the EX90 in America lol he's the boss, I mean come on....I would love to know what he makes in a year....sorry, but this is how companies waste money. Keep the cash and put it into r+r. I really do love the new EX and XC90's 👍 and I mean that.

We've been driving our XC90 for almost 5 months/13,215 miles now. I really find the excessive electronic interference with the cruise control obnoxious. Even at the most "ample" settings, the car tries to control the driving, creating disconcerting situations, loosing the tracking in narrow, unmarked roads, and in road splits without enough lines, etc. When parking, or getting into the garage, the self-determination of the car is even more annoying. Getting the car into a narrow garage is an exercise in frustration. It detects small and I mean SMALL (1.5") differences in level as "walls", and the sounds and lights are more distracting than anything else could be. Luckily, for slow-mo, the alarms and the emergency auto braking function can be disabled temporarily. For the cruise control mode, however, they cannot be disabled. Without the ability to fully disconnect this, I doubt we will purchase a new Volvo anytime soon. AND, there is no improvement in the autonomy of the pure electric mode from 2024 to 2025, the 70 km is really 41-42 miles. On the hybrid mode, the car yields, with very careful driving, about 27-29 mpg on the highway. It may not look bad for the size of the car, but the 4 of us with our luggage fit perfectly well in our VW Passat TDI, and that yields 43-44 mpg on the highway. My wife uses the XC90 for the daily conmute, she gets to the office on the battery, but cannot get back on the battery without recharging; and that is not always convenient or available. I do not know where Volvo statistics come from, but we are definitely not part of those statistics. I'm glad I spent the time looking at the presentation, at least now I can say with full knowledge that the "new" XC90 brings nothing really new to our driving/life style. Let's see what happens for 2026. You still have a long way to go, Team Volvo.

Love the refreshed XC90. Was hoping for more mechanical progress, in particular electrification and simplification/reliability. The base powertrain could use an upgraded 48V system like adding a motor in the transmission (to enable ICE-off propulsion) or even on the rear axle to eliminate the centre diff & driveshaft. The middle powertrain could be a PHEV with a smaller battery. In general the ICE could be simplified and rely on the electrical system for more power. Hope these are in the works.

I like the looks and capabilities of the new models. I hope Volvo is monitoring the comments here.. Feedback from a 2022 S60 Recharge as follows: Plug in hybrid makes so much sense for the way my family drives. Gald to see the range is continuing to increase. Software update is welcome and necessary for the older models. For the polestar option would love to have a static button to switch modes insted of multiple touches. When the battery drains, why not automatically have the vehicle in charge mode? How about android wireless and carplay? Otherwise love this car and would consider the new XC90 in the future.

We had a first-generation XC90. Awesome car. We now have a XC40 Recharge. It too is wonderful. Wow, our XC40 will (someday) get the updated UI? Cool. Best feature of the XC40? Nav map right in the middle of the display. So easy to use the nav feature! Oh, and maps are from Google so they are constantly updated. Worst feature of the XC40? Seat/steering wheel heater on/off is on the touch screen, and on the same button. So you have to find the button, press it, then press a sub-button.

Great marketing presentation but consumers need to be careful about what was stated vs real world. I'm purchasing a new electric luxury SUV so I have been monitoring EX90 progress. I visited local dealer last week and was told EX90 would not arrive until end of December so CEO statement that new owners would begin to receive their EX90 in September (maybe they deliver two) is questionable. Will be watching for any post on taking delivery and see how advanced features work or are not working. I purchased two Teslas 7-years ago, paid for FSD, was told would arrive "next year", never received FSD. I will never purchase a vehicle that shows features/tech on the vehicle and charges for them but says "coming sometime in the future" again. OTA updates was not a free ticket to charge consumers now for a future promise that may or may not happen. You never get your money back. I placed an order for 2025 Porsche Electric Macan 4S which will be delivered in January with 100% of all the features/tech working. I understand Porsche delayed the Macan to make sure that all the hardware/software were working before delivering to customers. That is how it should be.

I am waiting to get more views and DATA from the drivers speedometer view. It now has only map view. That is not enough. I want to swap it between my daily drive and needs. That is good design from my point of view as a USER and as a UX designer. But this also looks great! As it is software you can provide more custom stuff and new stuff to users. Not depending so much of the physical buttons.

I am very impressed with the new xc90 2025 suv,s. I hope the new software that will be pushed out in 2025 to all existing xc90’s will take are of an issue I have with my 2024xc90. I am color blind and I cannot tell if the heated seats are on or to what level. The dark bars that us associated with the heated seats are difficult for someone who is color blind. The color chosen for the cooling of the seats is easy to identify. Please take care of this for all of us that are color blind and have trouble with dark shades. Other than that issue I will never own any other suv the Volvo xc90 is a fantastic suv and how Volvo continues to improve it as demonstrated in the new 2025 xc90.

the plug-in xc90 is really disappointing, The 18.8kwh battery deliveries a 70km of range, however in reality is about 50km and much less in the winter, the engine power unit for the plug-in model didn't get an update (almost a decade), a minor facelift and a bigger center screen.

I get 34 miles on electric with my 24 xc90 T8 ultimate recharge..not much different fuel economy than the 2016 xc90 D5 momentum Ihad before this. Still love the T8 tho

The redesign of the XC90 looks great. But the presentation of the EX90 is a joke: Most of the new (software) features, such as LIDAR, Parts of the self driving features and even Apple Carplay, that have been showed in the video are not ready in the EX90s delivered to the clients in 2024. They will be only available in the second half of 2025! Therefore we have cancelled the contract for the purchase of our EX90 and ordered the new Audi Q6 etron quattro. From Audi we are getting, what we have ordered and signed the contract for!

@@landsman737 In June all EX90 orderers got an E-Mail from VOLVO with a long List of functions that will be delivered via software updates in the second half of 2025 - time line not guaranteed! One of these functions is Apple CarPlay…

I love Volvos, but one of the gripes i have with infotainment systems in general is how nobody puts in good enough hardware to run those. it's all very stuttery, laggy, with lots of loading instead of all being instant. Please load the entire OS into memory and keep it there so whenever i try to access the cameras or navigation it instantly responds (bar any actual downloads).

Have owned 6 Volvos 2, 7, S80 but sold the xc40 for a Chinese EV as it was cheaper and better aside from less luxurious trim. The strong value proposition of Xpeng G6 and G9 trumps brand loyalty.

Our family has owned several Volvos since the early 80s and our XC40 that we've had for 3 years has been plagued with software issues constantly, some of which affect the safety systems. Even though Volvo has issued numerous patches for the software, the issues continue. It's really sad for us, because we love the car otherwise, however we will be turning it in at the end of our lease. We also won't be considering another Volvo for quite a while. My advice to Volvo, prioritize quality software and build a better QA program.
