I'm a fan. I just want Volvo to get back to putting in some buttons for some functions. I think interior is nicer than the XC90s. It's kind of strange you're not driving a finished Volvo whereas others have examples of them to drive. I just hope Volvo can work out their software issues. But a properly quiet and supple riding flagship Volvo is what they needed.

I am not the biggest fan of electric SUV’s. But the EX90 I can understand. I do however regret the demise (call it the bad influence of tesla) of quality. Change a quality interior with cheaper parts, get rid of useful buttons with touch screen buttons and menus. And this isn’t only Volvo, but Volvo has been cheaping out for a bit longer (40-20-40 split folding rear seats are gone on the models except the 90 models, my 2015 V60 used to have this, my 2021 XC60 didn’t).

Really interested in the EX90, but i worry about the clutch disconnect issue, where it lags to connect under throttle, unless you keep it in performance mode, which resets everytime you turn off the car. In terms of comfort and ride feel, how big of a difference is there between this and the polestar 3, third row is not really a feature for my use case, and here in Canada, they are priced roughly with 8% -10% of each other for top trims. Difference in terms of Sound system, ride noise from the road to cabin, and invasiveness from the safety systems, having to disable so many options each start up...

The headlights look great, I do allot of driving on back country roads so that is important to me, however... I am now on my 5th and in all likelihood my last Volvo, Geely/Volvo's decision to cost cut and get ride of all buttons and shove it all into the infotainment system is a total deal breaker for me, not only is it inconvenient it is also absolutely a safety hazard

No mention of where the car is produced? USA has gone evil, boycott cars manufactured in the US. And that's from a big Volvo fan currently driving a car made in California. Volvo EX90? No, thanks! Really like the EX90, but it is far too expensive. Might be one to buy used after a couple years though when it’s less than half the list price

How much should it cost in your opinion. This is the flagship Volvo SUV so I don't want to hear something like $50 or even $60K. That's not the price of a premium brand's flagship SUV.

@ Volvo aren’t really a premium brand, more of a mid ranking one, so sorry to disappoint you but $60k-70k would be much closer to the mark for this kind of vehicle from any equivalent mid ranking brand like Hyundai, Kia, Tesla, Polestar, BMW, Mercedes etc.

@@benjaminsmith2287 to add to this, the newly announced Volvo sister brand, Zeekr 7x’s pricing is about spot on. I know this is a size smaller than the EX90, but when a Zeekr version of that arrives I expect with will be around the 70k mark rather than the 100k mark of the Volvo. Zeekr’s quality is going to take a lot of European executive car sales

The amount of eyes off the road time to use basic functions such as seat heating, steering wheel heating, climate, speed warning deactivation, drive mode switch etc is SHOCKING

That's too small. XC40 is a good size but it'is an older design now.

The time and complexity to adjust the mirror and wheel is unnecessary, just like the Polestar 3. Also, no function to tilt down the mirrors in reverse and 2 window switches instead of 4. All of these are in my Volvo V60 and Polestar 2…and were 25 years ago in my 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen! Technology complexity or lack of features means we’ve gone several steps backwards!

Try backing out of a tight walled driveway with a curve in it. Then try doing it in the dark. I had the car for 24 hours and did just this. It takes 25 seconds to get to the function in the screen to tilt the the mirror down in reverse. Same for tilting the mirror down to not scrape your $1100 alloy wheels on a curb. Cars have had these features for 20+ years. This is a flagship vehicle. It should have all the features of the lesser models plus more. Even the Polestar space manager admitted the car was unfinished.

The power window button thing is really unimportant. How often do you open or close the back windows? The other stuff can be improved in software updates. It's just Volvo need not put so many functions in the screen.

@@benjaminsmith2287 Rear windows usage? For the millions of dog owners, virtually every time you have the dog in the car. Spring days for fresh air while driving. On summer days to vent out the hot air. It’s a cost cutting of probably a few dollars per car. Like the ID.4.

@@PJPHughes Good point. I don't have a dog. But, to me, putting in 3 vs. 4 buttons couldn't have saved but so much money. I don't think it is the best solution but Volvo spent their time and money on refinement in this vehicle. Compared to the XC90, from almost every review I've read, the road noise is now down and the ride suppleness is improved. That was the thing to get right. The software and buttons can be changed in updates to the car. If enough complain, then maybe the EX60 gets 4 buttons on the drivers side rather than the toggle switch.

Looks like a really nice car. I am disappointed that it seems overly software driven. No one asked for their cars to be turned into a not so great iPhones. Give use hard buttons for critical operations like lights, seats, steering wheel, environmental etc. Then and only then put everything else in screens with the option of assigning functions to programmable hard buttons with programmable labels. I'd love to have ten or twenty little hard buttons I could assign functions to.

Stick with physical buttons. Stop going down the path of touch buttons and everything on screen - this is not good, and decreases safety.

What an awful implementation of ambient lighting, that would annoy the crap out of me. At least they didn’t make the same mistake they made with the EX30 it has a HUD and driver display.

What an unimpressive and uninspiring car. The exterior looks like something Kia or Hyundai would have designed. The A-pillar is light colored which will reflect in the windscreen on sunny days. The B-pillar is black? The roof lining is light again? Who designed this… Funnily enough, the new EV9 and SantaFe look way more impressive and spacious than this ugly thing. Also, the DRL and headlights are not even lined up, look at 9:45, what a shame. The steering wheel looks so thin and cheap? Was this car even designed in Göteborg?! The ambient lights, look like a Zara Home outlet instead of that Scandi cool or even IKEA cool we buy this car for. That Geely screen behind the steering wheel, you see that in pretty much every Geely car on the market. And it is not even OLED?! For that price?!
