Volvo EX90 vs Volvo XC90 T8 Recharge | WHICH SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

XC90 twin engine is soo perfect. Combining EV for daily driving and patrol convenience. Best interior, the car has not aged in my opinion. Got finally one two years ago, I want to keep it for decades… If I had to get another one, I would get EX30 in addition.

For me XC90 is such a good looking car. EX90 looks ok, but not more than ok.

I am very happy with my 2022 XC90 Recharge Extended Range Inscription - get around 38-40 miles from a full charge so most days I can drive on pure electric. Being in the US, I was able to take advantage of the federal tax credits before they changed last year, so unfortunately the new XC90's don't qualify because they aren't built in North America. But the EX90 should qualify as long as the price and income qualifications are met. Personally I don't think the infrastructure is there yet in the US for electric vehicles so for me, the XC90 is the best of both worlds and I don't have to worry about all the issues with charging we face here when taking road trips. When they can build an SUV with an electric range of 600-700 miles, that would make it worth consideration for me. In the meantime, I'm going to continue enjoying my XC90!

Got an 2023 XC90 T8 ultimate on 3 year subscription and think will go for the EX90 second year to avoid possible 1st year issues! Really looking forward to it

Nice video thanks and I agree on your advice. I’m upgrading my XC90 D5 inscription pro which I’ve had 5 years to ‘23 T8 recharge ultimate. Hybrid gives you the best of both worlds especially if your day to day driving is ~40 miles.

Volvo and Polestar... North America Charging Standard... PLEASE!!! make the change now before shipping EX90, EX30 and Polestar 3 & 4... Less complicated than adapters and retrofit... Stay safe, Tim

I didn't order either of these. Way too big for my poor driving skills. I did order the EX30, though. When you get your EX90, I should come to Oslo and we can do a side by side comparison. Or you drive down to Germany 😜

I'm guessing he was referring to the second generation XC90 when he said it only came out about eight years ago, right? The first gen XC90 came out in 2002/2003 and 2nd gen was out in 2015. Personally, I much prefer the look of the first gen. Maybe I'm a bit partial since I'd bought one in 2006 but the new ones just don't look very Volvo-ish.

I am so undecicive between these cars, I am between the Model X, the Recharge and the EX90. If I go by looks, the EX90 wins by a long shot and I mean a long shot, the Model X is ugly as hell. If I go by "cool stuff" then the model X wins due to the falcon doors and all the nice stuff my kids love about it but if I go with my brain, the recharge is by far the best, it's better looking than the X, not as good looking as the EX but I don't have to plan around if I want to go on a long road trip and the 70KM of pure battery it gives you are more than enough for our daily needs, as long as the wifey and me don't forget to charge it every day and she doesn't forget to push "pure mode" which she will... I know she will. So that's where I am at, I may be having a third child (hopefully the last!) next year by summer so I have time to think it over, but it really is looking like the recharge is the best overall as far as functionality for a family.

Volvo going NACS in North America. First European car company to do so. I expected this from Volvo. They're a little more nimble than VW, and even Mercedes and BMW.

XC90 T8 has the largest engine in a Volvo ever? 455 hp. 0-60 in 5 seconds. Until EX90 comes out. 😊
