so so sad.iam tearful,poor old 240 ,i feel for it unloved and just thrown away,after years of loyal family service.to be replaced by a modern fwd crap badged as a volvo.no way would i have that trash.its the poor old 240 everytime.these like 740s and 940s .are a work of art.look at the engine bay.so easy to fix,easy to get to parts,and so damn reliable.you could easy get 50 years ,or more out of a 240 ,740 or 940.these are for life,not that new volvo,, that wont last a life time.shouldnt that be in the volvo 240s place in the advert😀😀.id take that 240 in,with my other 3 940 volvos ,i own.theres only 1500 on the roads in the uk now.my daily is my 92 volvo 940 wentworth.only 38 manuals ,mine is,and 29 autos left on uk roads.just as many in storage.i have a high pressure turbo 96 940 estate only 7 in the uk,an auto 97 940 classic,only around 970 left ,378 autos in the uk.these are all very rare cars.so save an old volvo.far superior than the new ones.get them before they all go.search around junkyards gardens garages.ask if they are for sale.save them 😀😀

A tired old 240 is a far superior car to the bloated turds that Volvo has been pumping out since Ford abandoned philosophy of making safe, reliable and extremely practical cars that made Volvo legendary and thought they could chase the luxury market and compete with makes like Mercedes that appeal to an entirely different set of people.
