I’m very happy to have found your channel. There are others about Volvos, but I really like the way you do things. I own a 2011 XC60 T6 which I bought two years ago with 55000 km on and is now reaching 100k. It has been a bit neglected by the previous owner and I had to do a lot of maintenance to put it back on its current good shape. But I reached the point of getting tired of dealing with mechanics that won’t always do jobs as well as I demand, so I decided to do the work myself from now on. I’m an electronic engineer with a lot of experience on maintaining my own cars in the past. I’m studying everything I can about my car and I’m tooling up for the jobs ahead of me. First thing will be replacing the alternator bearings, replacing the serpentine belt and pulleys, and since the intake will be off the car I’ll clean the throttle. Cheers 🍻

I just bought a 2012 Volvo XC60 T6 with the 3.0 L Turbo I6, all new to me! I'm a Dodge Ram 1500 man, or was. A wee-bit older now I just needed something a little more practical and fuel efficient. Great video! I'm looking to change the spark plugs and clean the throttle body, due the maintenance before winter sets in.

I am the original owner of a 2011 XC 60 T6 AWD with 171000 miles now. I change the engine oil with Mobile One synthetic high mileage oil (label says for 20000 miles which I don't believe) every 7000-8000 mile faithfully. The most recent oil change was two weeks ago and I only drove 4000 miles ( precious change was about 11 months ago). I am not handy with mechanical skills and I don't have those tools so all works were performed by local garage. I have replaced the PCV, fuel pressure sensor (my own Bosch part), radiator with two new hoses ( radiator job --->$1100 parts and labor), Mass air flow sensor, all for suspension systems in 2022 with a total cost of $4000 US dollars. I also change the engine air filter every year. My car runs really smooth and quiet. Acceleration is quick with ease. There is no hesitation and gear shifting is also very smooth ( I don't feel anything when car shifts gear ). Never change the transmission fluid and Haldex oil. Volvo dealer won't even do the transmission fluid change and they said it's life time fluid. I really want to change these two oil but a local garage who specialized on Volvo said since I never change this two oils before (should change every 50000 miles); now they won't recommend to doing at all. I will flush the power steering fluid myself next week when I receive the fluid. This procedure seems easy and I can do it myself. I am thinking to change the serpentine belt and other related parts like water pump, pulley and tensioner. Here is my question that I need your expert advices. The car runs well without any issue at this point. Car's exterior and interior look like new. I only drive about 3-4000 mile nowadays with this car and intend to buy a new car (maybe the 2025 EX60). Do you suggest that I still need to replace serpentine belt system (not cheap) clean the the throttle body, transmission fluid, haldex oil? I wish you were my neighbor and I will have you to perform all those works without any hesitation. Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work!

Nice vid. 2 points to have diesel EGR clean. First- engine oil need to be according to the engine specs, genuine(No matter what brand) and with correct ACEA parameters. Second- is the fuel. I had my egr out for cleaning for the first time after 200k. No drama at all.Thin layer of dry soot and nothing else.

Yes. Oil and diesel quality plays a role. In Russia there is a lot counterfeit oil and petrol/diesel is poor qiluality. Sucks that the citizens get such poor quality in a country where there is oil.

I tried fuel injection cleaning, replacing the throttle body along with relearn procedure, tried cleaning the MAF sensor all to no success with his.
