Thanks for sharing. You won't need to pull the whole unit to change out the trim sender, it's right outside on the starboard side where the unit pivots - look for a round-ish thing with 2 small bolts holding it in place and 3 wires exiting out through the transom. I'm about to change out mine, just deciding on options for the wiring (re-route or cut + splice). Best Wishes.
