Volvo S40 Problem

Yesterday fixed the same issue on my S40, it was stuck IAC valve, cleaned it and now starts up and idles perfectly

Clean up the Air flow censer + car spark plug (4 pieces)

Those lights dim when starting, get a good battery before trouble shooting others. Your battery is too low or alternator needs a fix.

Actually if he’s burning oil while he’s having thoes episodes and he has oil on his injectors he needs to change the flame trap/pcv valve it keeps pressure from pushing oil through you’re seals thus burning oil and having idle/ running problems btw it’s under the air intake manifold good luck 😉😉

I have a v40. That must be your alternator your battery is dead something along the lines of the starting system where is L for my starter is bad so it has a hard time starting but it does stay running. Where to start running you have to have a bad battery

I think its must be a throttle body problem and you have adjust your timing level manually.

Have to reset The throttleposstionsensor. Google for your modells way 2 do it

I had the same problem and I reduced the rpm movement by cleaning the Throttle body sensor now it start at 1000 and goes up to 1500 but it need to be changed
