I have the 05 and that is why I'm on this video. I think it will put out 327 hp comfortably with this kit.

Hey man, I'm looking to get a V50 T5 from the UK and import it to Ireland, as we have only 2 T5s in the whole country, so the car will be a complete sleeper. Of course for that I need stage 3 at least. How is your stage 3 holding up after a year? Did anything in the engine break from all the horsepower? Is there much wheelspin? I'm coming from a 2006 Octavia VRS (golf GTI engine), at stage 1 that had wheelspin in third gear sometimes. But the Octavia four cylinder is boring, I'm craving that Volvo 5 cylinder 🤤

How many Millimeters do I need on my spacers for fitment? I can get a spacer adapter of 5x108 to 5x112 with 25mm space. Or can you send link for suitable spacers?

how did you manage to connect the do88 intake pipe to the new K16 turbo inlet? Using the same silicone hose of do88 intake pipe kit for K04 stock turbo?

I had to buy a bigger silicone hose with same angle since the k16 inlet is bigger than the k04.

How it's going with shimmed block? I have 2.5T and I wonder if it's enough to shim the block for like ~300-320hp, i'm currently running on heico chip with custom inlet and exhaust which gave 265hp. My friend had 310hp in stock 2.5t block and it worked for like 2 months than break the sleeve.

The car is not mapped yet so I dont know. On my stage 2 tune I had 271hp and 475nm without shims for 6 months. I had no damage on the cylinder walls. It's hard to say when you have to shim and when to not. But people say over 300hp you should do it.

nice work! looks great. Did you not want to forge your pistons and rods? running the K16 would need the minimum of at least Focus RS MK2 pistons and rods for reliability.

I will forge the engine in the future with most likely a k16 hybrid. The car has a very good tune now with 350hp and 500nm with limited boost under 3500rpm to not bend the stock rods. Been running it for 2 months now and it is working great.

I got both second hand. Splitter is a heico lip and sideskirts are Volvo orginal

I would love to upgrade the turbo in my manual 2006 s40 t5 awd. It has 230,000km on it. Dont know it it's worth it... just got new clutch. 10 hr job. Takes forever..

It is Worth it or get an s60r with 7163 efr turbo preinstalled. S40 handles way better though especially with coilovers. I have owned both and lean toward the R.

Stock cv axles? My engine is stock, but I've gone through 2 or 3 driver's side cv axles and 1 or 2 passenger's side in about 7 years. I'd have to imagine they'll break easily with that much torque. I'm asking because I want to do all this to my car as well, but I wanna start with stronger cv axles. 😂💔

The 2.4 wasn't built to be turbo though. Doesn't mean you can't place a turbo but I don't think stage 3 would be safe for it.
