Such a nice build, i've been wanting to do a similar project with a C304 for some time, it was really nice that someone else has already done it before.

Thank you :-) Most parts are available and not very expensive - brakes are the sames as Land Rover Series, but most other parts are can be ordered through Volvo Truck dealers i think. (if you know the part numbers) But i've heard that axles can be difficult to find. We haven't had much problems, so haven't bought that much parts :-)

I know that's a tremendous vehicle, I'm sorry to say I don't feel that it was challenged at all in this video. A run of the mill 2 wheel drive could have gotten over most of that terrain and a 4x4 would have had 0 problems. Perhaps there's another video that showcases that beast. 🌞🌞🌞

+Christina Coloradoan You are absolutely right! As stated in the text; it is a vacaition trip, not an offroad trophy :-) And i would guess that most of the world can be seen in a 2wd Peugeot, for us its just more fun this way :-)

Nice girlfriend, perfect car, good trip but I don't see any off road experience on this video. This car is excellent for heavy off road but any models of Land Cruisers are better for such kind of expeditions. I know, it is not easy to found wild extreme roads in Europe. Welcome to Russia. You will have a chance to use all benefits of this car and see a wonderful wild places as a reward.

Does it have the stock B30 6 cylinder engine or something else. Sounds like a diesel, maybe but I can't tell on my laptop speakers. If so, what kind of swap? I drove one of these in Southern California about 10 years ago and fell in love with it. Unfortunately my friend was afraid of something breaking and not being able to fix it. Thank you.

In Denmark we always make fun of each other, and mothers, wives and sisters, so we are used to it - but we have to learn that it doesn't apply everywhere in the world :-)

Nice video, man. How much did the truck cost to you and how much do you think it costs yearly with maintenance? Thanks!
@tth03139 жыл бұрын
Yearly costs arent very high, as we haven't had any major problems, but they are a bit hard to find in good shape :-)
@NasserAlhameli9 жыл бұрын
I had a hard time finding like these,,, I heard that 6x6 is much nicer on harsh bumpy roads,, is that right?
@tth03139 жыл бұрын
+Nasser Alhameli Yes, the front behaves like any other 4x4 when hitting bumps, but the rear boogie almost eliminates them, so you only feel half of the bumps :-)
@NasserAlhameli9 жыл бұрын
Would you please tell me, is this truck diesel or gas? and which would be better?
@paulhartzer109 жыл бұрын
it is diesel of course. You need to get a lot of Power for the engine, speed isnt that important. Also, gas would be way too expensive.
@tth03139 жыл бұрын
+Nasser Alhameli It is originally a gas engine, but it is converted to diesel: www.tgb13.raredog.dk

so i have been thinking about getting one of these, and just wondering, how is the sound Level inside the Cab? how much fuel does it use per 100 KM? and how comfortable is it to drive over longer distances, does it require a trip to the garage every 10 kilometers for repairs, or are they reliable?

Do You even know what "offroad" means? But as rough road trip it is ok:) But
@tth03139 ай бұрын
Yes, and here is the definition from the Oxford Dictionary, in case you don't know: "off-road /ˌɒfˈrəʊd/ adverb adverb: offroad away from the road; on rough terrain." If you ever where to take your rare car, thousands of kms from home, and days away from any help - you would probably understand how to take care of it, instead of bashing it... - Besides that, you can take a look at the videos, where I am using my Samurai in competions ;-)
