I put about a half million miles on a Volvo VNL880. Very comfortable. Only complaint was the lighting module failed 2 weeks after I took possession. 3 days in Bakersfield. Could've been worse.

Very nicely laid out for driver comfort. I only hope they have made these Volvos more mechanicaly reliable because as everyone in the trucking industry knows they are NOT !!

I suppose if you just drive one its great but if you drive AND maintain it, thats a whole different thing. Im guessing your are a driver. I would also guess that 80% of the times I've noticed a truck broke down on the side of the road its a Volvo. No matter how comfortable you are sitting on the side of the road you are still SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD !! I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they were reliable but I have never found a transport company ever that was willing to pay me to sit comfortably ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD !!

Wish my VNL 860 looked like this. None of these highlighted items are in a normally optioned company truck. I doubt that even an owner operator could afford this highly upgraded truck. Don’t get me wrong. I like my Volvo but it is not even close to this.

when are they gonna standardize a shower and toilet in common OTR trucks , using a truck stop for bathroom is filthy and barbaric , it can be done without makin the truck double the price and I think more drivers would get into OTR driving .

Pursuit is there but to replace a truck driver there should be change in the entire system.The allowable weights,security of the freight,responsibility of the freight,safety in case of breakdown,millions of self adjusting trailers,chains,locations of the customers etc etc.It will be partial shift in my very humble very professional truck driving opinion.

Badly designed by desk drivers, so still no sit-shower-shave option. Driver has to use public loos or stink. Most drivers work a balance of the two with just occasional showers .... and constipation. God I hate uninformed and inconsiderate industrial design.
