For critics out there. Am not a mechanic or an electrician. Just a trucker who’s not afraid of some grease or wrenches. Hope this helps you out there!

Hola Amigo, I have an 2006 with an ISX engine my dash has the Stop light on and the engine won't crank, was this the same issue you was having with that relay

Hey brother am very sorry I just saw your question. 2023 here 😱. Been disconnected for a while. Where you able to figure that out?
@cdaniel001 Жыл бұрын
@@elpuenteusa I'm still dealing with it. I'm pretty sure it the starter, I bought the truck to expand my fleet
@elpuenteusa Жыл бұрын
@@cdaniel001 there’s a relay by the firewall (hood open, driver side) that’s hooked to the starter. Check that out first before changing starter.

Where did you order your parts and what are the part numbers???
@elpuenteusa2 жыл бұрын
Don’t have a part number but your Volvo parts dealer should have it. Any good truck parts store could match it if you take your own part to them. Hope it helps!

Where is the solenoid for the clutch fan
@elpuenteusa2 жыл бұрын
Check next to your transmission by the passenger side attached to the frame. You should be able to see around 6-8 small hoses. One of them is for fan clutch. It’s both electric and air activated.

The green hose if am not mistaken.

I just bought this 2004 Volvo vnl. Is it a good truck? Cummins isx engine

With trucks it’s a hit or miss. I’d suggest based on my own experience with it, don’t go crazy on it trying to fix every little thing. I’d use it for a while to come up with extra cash and get a newer one. The only thing bad about that truck is the year. Everything is old at this point. I used to drive mine as a driver. The prior owner only did oil changes on it (literally) the minute I started replacing things here and there, I ended up having to rebuild the entire truck. Check for rust on the floor. If you have some, that means you have a water leak coming from the splash guard beneath the windshield. Good luck with your truck and if issues arise shoot me a message maybe I have the answer.

If you have to fix the water leak, check out another video I posted fixing that issue.

@@elpuenteusa Where is the clutch fan solenoid for the 2004
@elpuenteusa2 жыл бұрын
@@rodbrown5823 check on the frame. Passenger side mounted on the frame (between transmission and chasis). Follow the green hose and you’ll find it.
