Had the opertunity to test drive in January last year with the issues I we having with my 2023 Ioniq 5 enable to fast DC charge, the one pedal driving was not as easy as the Tesla Model Y, AWD which we finally decided on, but mainly it was the Tesla reliable and accesible charging that we picked the Tesla. Had Volvo already had access to Tesla Super chargers I would have picked the EX40 for our road tripper hands down (we are empty nesters), our 2020 Kia Soul EV limited is our current run about with over 110K KMs and still going strong!

The heated steering wheel doesn't come with the standard och plus trim, but you can have those as optional additions, no problem. I added that to my plus trim order.

Please, don't pluralize kilometers when you abbreviate it. You just write e.g. "50 km". Not "50 kms". The pluralization is already implied with the "m" as in "meters". And adding an SI "k" in front of it just acts as a multiplier (× 1000), so it's just "km", always. Never "kms".

One big change in 2025 besides the name: My Volvo dealers have all told me that they are not coming to US until spring 2025, and special order only. "The C40, XC40 sold so poorly that we won't stock the EC and EX40 in 2025 forward".

Although this looks like a nice car at the price point it isn’t competitive at all. Used it’s pretty affordable. Setting money aside I do like the horsepower and the styling but it’s a little small, has mediocre range, lacks some bells and whistles, and I’m not a fan of any climate control that requires more than one press. I prefer knobs and switches to minimalism. That screen looks small and dated to me.

Nice review. Can't believe they still haven't changed the interior, screen, or that terrible backup camera situation. Having the backup cam and 360 cam on the screen at the same time is SO helpful when parking. I have that on my Mach-E and wouldn't go back to a car that doesn't have it.

I wish they would put the backup cam on the dash screen and leave the 360 on the middle screen

Or, buy a used one from Hertz with less than 10K miles for 50% less money.
