Volvo XC60 | PHEV Perfection | The Luxury Family SUV You Should Buy!

When purchasing a mid sized premium SUV, many of us think of German cars. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW. However one car that often gets overlooked is the Volvo XC60.
In the last year we've driven hundreds of cars, and very few have been as good as the XC60.
Yes, the shape is has been around now (despite being facelifted), however objectively speaking it still looks very modern.
The Plug In Hybrid setup with the new 18kWh (gross) battery is excellent. The electric motor powers the rear wheels, and a traditional 4 cylinder, 2.0 litre petrol engine powers the front.
The new and upgraded battery means you can drive up to 78km using purely electricity. Paid both motors together and you have up to 455bhp (in the T8 version). That is nothing to be sniffed at!
The boot is class leading, the rear space is excellent and if you need to tow it can comfortably transport a trailer over 2,200kg!
Overall the XC60 is an SUV that has somewhat flown under the radar, however if you're willing to give it a go, it won't disappoint!!

What is the battery warranty period and what is covered? If most people will be mainly driving on the battery, it will need to be fully charged more often than an EV would and that would impact the number of charge cycles vis a vis degradation of battery capacity. So a 70km range could easily become a 50 km range after a few years, so then what? You have a car with an out of date battery (battery technology is advancing rapidly) that will cost a fortune to replace and possibly after the model has ceased being produced.

those are standard black edition rims, just go to the volvo configurator and see the description. they also come in silver as option for other versions of the xc60

Two questions. 1. does it come with Android auto? 2. Does the 360 camera automatically turn on at very low speeds? I have a 2020 model and while The camera system is actually very good quality, unfortunately it does not automatically come on when I'm parking. I find that very annoying.

technically it doesn't come with Android auto because the actual infotainment system is Android itself! So even better :)

no noooooooooo it goes on electric only 39 miles of usa in sweden 6,3 mil, or maybe ur volvo in usa mades special version towards to our in sweden... I got volvo xc60 recharge 2024 t6 plus model and saved huge amount towards to ultimate version , not worth putting huge cash unless one love it....... Core, Plus, Ultimate/Ultra 3 models Rear / bagage trunk is smaller than my earlier Qashqai due to batteries under trunk takes space........ inside car yes plenty of spcae for everyone and its a plus Every car of volvo got speed limits no matter which version one got or which volvo hybrid or pure electric goes only 180 /km ...... Obviously most of car is Super and few things annoying one each and everytime like when one starts car you need to decide either drive in electric or on petrol/gas wat ever one need to go into menue to change it each n everytime .... Latest software 3.1.2. came out 13 th of may 2024 but its not available OTA means one needs to visit workshop for it or wait till yearly service time.......

Not aware of reliability issues. Quite nice to drive at low speed, especially with electric power, making it both quiet and smooth. Infotainment system is pretty good with google play store, etc. Battery power is expensive though.

The info system is really nice. Just a regular Android tablet. And very responsive. Regarding reliability - not aware of any issues. By the way, even standard audio system is awesome. And regarding overpriced - don't agree. If you compare the price with BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC or Audi Q5 - these will be at least 10k more expensive with similar spec.

Poor at lower speeds? 😂 the car is amazing overall, especially in ev mode… and Volvo updates this car every model year, and fixes any problem reported…
