Acceleration limiter is absolutely the big NO NO! Omnibus is operating in start-and-brake, start-and-brake mode. What you need is maximum acceleration. Especially what you opt for the busiest city in the world.

Miscellaneous Chaotic Lab tell that to Singapore LTA..They’re tuning all city buses acceleration to a minimum power..Not to mention car drivers complain why buses are faster than them

Still, the driveline components should be on the right rather than the left as Singapore and Hong Kong are Right-Hand-Drive. Doing so would allow a third door to be installed.

John Doe just a demonstrator, though Volvo did consult operators like SBST, so now the contention is between the MAN ND323F EE6 and Volvo B8L for LTA to choose on their current tender for Euro 6 buses. Few key major differences includes the sweet-spooling turbocharger the MAN has been known for here, the smoothness acceleration of the B9TL being most likely carried over to the B8L, the futuristic staircase on the WEG3 bodywork on the B8L and the Tongda next stop display that has been a staple of SMRT buses since the OC500LE. Dont count the automatic ramp even though SG5835M has it but LTA would probably revert them back to manual deployment.

In bustling cities worldwide, buses play a vital role in moving people, taking them to work, school, home and around the city 24/7, 365 days a year. When it comes to experience, quality and capacity, Volvo is the world's leading supplier of double deckers. Now we are introducing the new Volvo B8L. The next step in performance, safety and reliability. "When developing the new Volvo B8L chassis, we have involved some of our key customers from the Asia Pacific region from the very early stage in our development process. The main benefits from this very close and unique cooperation with our customers was that we could really concentrate on things that matter to our customers and are important for their business." The new Volvo B8L is made for the busy city. More power, lower weight and a tighter turning circle make it great to drive. The new simplified driveline concept and the high-efficiency 8-litre Euro 6 engine offer impressive fuel savings, lower emissions and longer service intervals. Safety is part of Volvo's DNA, and the new Volvo B8L is available with a range of advanced safety systems. Electronic stability program, electronic braking system, anti-slip, acceleration limiter and hill start aid support the driver in every situation. For the passengers, the new Volvo B8L is a very smooth and comfortable experience. The new Volvo Euro 6 engine features common rail technology and electrically powered auxiliaries, resulting in drastically reduced noise emissions for a quiet ride. The new Volvo B8L is made to just keep running. "The new Volvo B8L chassis is very easy to service. The new driveline installation offers very easy engine accessibility, and not only engine but also all other systems and components on and around the engine. Volvo has been present in the Asia Pacific region for decades. We have a very (very) extensive network in the region, and this network allows us to have highly skilled and trained people that are here to support our customers with the latest tooling and technology." With the new Volvo B8L, you can stay connected with your entire fleet online in real time. Over the years, Volvo has produced several thousand double deckers for cities around the world. The Volvo B8L is manufactured at our factory in Sweden on our dedicated production line for double deckers, making the new Volvo B8L the safer choice. "The Volvo B8L chassis was developed with the climate of Singapore, topography of Hong Kong and the service cycles of Asia in mind. With our customers and for our customers. It's a product that represents a new generation of double decker buses."

I prefer the B9TL driveline. Better side to side load distribution unlike the B8L driveline whereby the weight is concentrated offset towards the left of the chassis.

Should stay with centre tag steering axle..The previous is 9L but with only 310hp,New is 8L but with 350hp which isn’t quite important..The torque need to increase to 1600nm..Should have an option of basic 350hp/1400nm,350hp/1500nm & 360hp/1600nm

Stop and go you need more than 1400nm Volvo,That’s why Singapore favour MAN A95 over Volvo for now..320hp/1600nm from 10.5L engine vs 7.7L 350hp/1400nm
Download a video involving b8l journey Install a audio editor Change it to earape like 10 times (layering meaning earape an earape) Take headphones There your euro 6 is lound as fuck
