but why isn't the entire crusher run with mains power or some hybrid solar/wind+battery set-up, all talk about sustainability in bonkers then. And the usual tiptoeing around peoples feelings "we know electric is not for everyone". Has a European company like Volvo accepted that mentioning the reason why de-carbonisation urgently needs to happen can no longer be spoken of. "Needs fewer filter changes" my a**... In a normal non boomer-supernova scenario EVERY process is gotta be run electrically within the next 15 years. Don't tell me what's impossible to do 1:1 today, tell me you understand it's time to start moving and look for ways of making it work.

The amount of power the spread takes, it just wouldn't work. This is also a mobile spread, now you're resources are spent moving the extravagant amount of solar equipment/ wind turbine or whatever just to keep this single plant running. Only efficient way to run these spreads is by mains power or by a generator.
