*I've been using the Tempo tool for a long time, however, for myself, I can only go up to a maximum of 12% before it starts to distort and make the words sound choppy.* *What I have found is, the slower the original recording is, and the more stretched out your pronunciations are, the better it will work.*
@GaryTerzza3 жыл бұрын
Also you may find the smaller the pauses on the original recording, the choppier the speed up result will be.

Thank you, I use Tempo after watching your previous video about speed, and after the first comment here I'll experiment with actually speaking normally (pretty slow in my case and obviously slower in English) and then speeding more.
@GaryTerzza3 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a good idea. It’s all about experimenting and seeing what works best for you.

Didn't know about the 'tempo' tab at all!! This is very useful. I have got the 'you're slow' feedback many times... Now I know how to speed it up without gabbling up my speech!

Hello there. My name is Kristian. I am a KZbinr but also kind of an Impressionist but following from your voice over showreel video, I don't understand it. I have so many questions to ask and this can be confusing to answer, so I come up with an introduction with my name and welcome to my voice reel, but what is an upbeat commercial, corporate, audio book and what character voices shall I use? What TV/Radio Promo shall I use, what is a soft sell commercial and a lively explainer video? Let me ask how to plan it, do I research upbeat commercial and corporate commercial scripts for instance, using 2 different character voices or with the same one? And then move on to audio book and the rest? What shall I do for character voices? Will they be in a commercial or am I just making impressions on these characters? Am I supposed to come up with my own showreel scripts by following this video or can I research some showreel scripts also by following this video? Edit: Or do I just pick random commercial scripts, it could be any and do each of them for like 10-15 seconds? Can it be any like first kids commercial, then car commercials and stuff like that?
@GaryTerzza3 жыл бұрын
Try not to get hung up on the material you are using - there is no right or wrong script for a voicereel. Instead, think about your listener; make your reel varied, exciting and compelling. Test your demo out on friends and family - are you holding their attention? Have you made them sit up and listen, or are they getting bored halfway through? Take them on a journey... or even better, on a rollercoaster ride.

@@GaryTerzza okay, I've come up with an idea. How about I just pick random commercial scripts and each can be for about 15 seconds up to 90 seconds, no matter which commercial scripts they are? Is that a good idea? U know as in, it can be anything? :)

@@KrisDoesMovies_ So long as you have variety - eg soft sell, hard sell etc.

Good Morning Sir, Iam Mr. Hemanta kumar Parhi, a subscriber of your channel for Audacity. I am a Electric Hawaiian guitar player. I edit my guitar sound in Audacity. Normally I play classical Indian songs. But I find there is no warm Ness of my music edited after Audacity. Please tell how to bring warmth in Audacity editing.

You could speed up your delivery without using a plugin or app, but it takes lots of practice. You will need to maintain the clarity and not sound gabbled.
