SONY TA-AX380 Diagnosis and Repair

I found a SONY TA-AX380 at the dump and I diagnos and repair it. Turns our it was just bad solder joints!

Nice! Mine does not always turn on, so I will be looking at solder joints. I have read several posts that point to this.

Lead free solder has a shorter lifespan than good old tin-lead

Could that be made with lead free solder? The soldering troubles seem severe

That makes sense, but also the newer amps, have much thinner, lighter, chassis, which allow for a lot more vibration of the pcb .
