Orc Intro Remastered | Durotar | World of Warcraft Cinematic

I felt inspired during my time leveling in Season of Discovery, so I decided to give back to the community in a creative way. Thank you for watching, and I hope I've brightened your day.
To anyone wanting to know how this got made:
I used Unreal Engine and its powerful nanite tech to scatter high-quality assets from Quixel Bridge. Created all the structures in Cinema 4D and Substance Painter. Composited the output in Nuke with stock footage. Colored and edited the whole thing in DaVinci Resolve.
A kind thanks to my friend Embu, who provided me with sound and music suggestions for this video.

Yes this one, unlike others, doesn't look hokey. As in it isn't trying to impose another engine's art style onto Warcraft. It's raising Warcraft _up to_ the engine's standards.

Unfortunately, as technology progressed, Blizzard never tried to align the two and instead made WoW look even more different and even more cartoony. I approve of what the OP has going on here, and I wish he was art director on World of Warcraft. Straight up.

Disagree. WoW always had a style - and the style gave it a soul and set it apart. This - while a valiant effort and applause to the person who spend so much of their free time etc - is sadly "generic MMMO that I would not care about if I saw a trailer of it"

@@seriously58 I think when you go back and watch the cinematics its pretty evident that had blizzard had the powers of modern tech when they first made WoW it would largely look something like this. When you go back and watch the old cinematics the models were extremely high poly counts but still had a cartoonish but grounded feel but they were secretly limited on hardware so the only way to make it have style was to go the route they took. .

I prefer the current graphics, right in the smooth spot where it’s stylised but not to the point it can’t survive without it. I’d hate wow to look like final fantasy or new world or any new mmo. They have the great lighting shaders but come 5 years after they look awful. Keep it simple it’s why games like Minecraft and TF2s styles work so well

This really stands out from the other "updated graphics" content. Most of those are carried only by modern render engines and shaders, but lack artistic vision. Even if they are using the same assets as in this video, they feel like a tech demo, but this one feels like an actual living world.

Exactly, this is one master class. Others just use base assets and no artistic flare. I saw one video on azure myst isle unreal ,it's pretty good actually utilized landscape and sky box. but not as good as this.

I wouldn't. Everything I loved about WoW is in the past. The friends I met, the social scene at the time, current music, the emotions I felt. None of that can be recreated because WoW was a social multi player experience. Unfortunately when you get older, multi player experiences die because you're experienced and long lived. It's not really a matter of being anti social either its just that you feel a certain way at certain times in your life and you never get those moments back and thats perfectly ok.

The art is very impressive, and I love how well you captured the silhouettes and colours used in the game. WoW wouldn't be the same in this style though, Warcraft is hard bound to its art style for me.
