I was very impressed with how well it worked and the pictures it took, Jerry. I know it hasn't been out 6 months to a year. But with the weather we have been having since November till now, it has gone through various weather conditions already. I took my battery tester and checked the alkaline batteries, and they are still at 100%!! Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Steve. So far, I am very impressed with this TC02, and Jerod has the TC22, don't know what the real difference is between the two, but he is impressed with his as well. With the solar and built in lithium batteries, no need for the alkaline, but it is nice to put only 4 alkaline batteries in just as a backup when the lithium batteries get low and need time to be charged by the solar panel. I know the cold is hard on alkaline batteries for sure, and if you have a lot of activity in front of your camera, they go down fast. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks for watching and commenting. I am glad you enjoyed the review. So far, I am very pleased with this solar powered camera. Really like the feature of the alkaline backup for when the internal lithium batteries get low. Again, thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Sorry to hear that, Mike!!! I hate when bears mess with my cameras. That is why I took my welder and started my own custom steel boxes to protect my cameras from bears. I have to come up with a different design for these solar powered cameras, I have an idea, just got to sketch it out on paper first. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Brain. It has been a good camera for me so far, and I have high hopes that it will continue to work well. I know I didn't leave it for 6 months or more, but the way the weather has been since November until now, I know the camera has gone through various weather conditions. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

@@bkbowhunter1 I finally went and bought me a cellular trail camera. I had $75 dollars' worth of gift cards for Cabela's, so I caught the Moultrie Edge on sale, and I went ahead and bought it. Jerod has one and he really likes it. I just need to get things going on it. It is still in the box. LOL

Thank you, Todd. We are thinking about using them up at camp. By using the solar power up there, instead of going up about every 3 to 4 months to check the batteries in the cameras we have now, we only need to go about every 6 months. Of course, that depends on the size of SD card we have in the camera and how much activity there might be. I like that the camera has a alkaline backup so when the lithium batteries get to low, the alkaline will kick in until the lithium have been recharged by the daylight. I still have one camera out over on the hunting lease that I need to get and bring home. Right now, all the bucks around here probably look like does. LOL Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Dan. I think it might be a great one to use out on the mountain the next time we go up to check the Apeman cameras that we have out this year. The Apeman cameras require 8 batteries, and we know how expensive alkaline batteries have become. This camera doesn't need them, but you have the option of putting only 4 batteries in it for backup when the lithium gets two low between charges from the daylight. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Randy, I think it might be a good one to use on the mountain at camp. With the cost of batteries now days, solar just might be the answer for long term setting cameras. I like this one due to only needing 4 alkaline batteries, and they are only used if the lithium batteries get too low to take video or pictures, until the solar gets them charged up again. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks, Lonnie! This seems to be a nice camera. This one or another that Jerod and I did a review on while at camp, may replace what we have been using on the mountain at camp. The ones we have now we constantly worry about the battery life on the camera. Also, now batteries are so expensive, solar just may be the answer. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

No problem, Cody. I didn't start using trail cameras until about 20 or 25 years ago, when Jerod started hunting. The first trail camera I had was before digital trail cameras, it was actually a 35mm film trail camera. I still have it. LOL Then Jerod wanted to get digital, it was costing to much money to develop 35mm film. Over time we have had many different trail cameras like Stealth, Moultrie, Primos, Wlidgame Innovations, Tasco and on and on. Now there are all kinds of trail cameras out there. We had stayed away from cellular due to the fact that you have to have a paid subscription to get your pictures, and the worry of whether you have signal where you want to put them, and lastly the cost of the camera and possible theft of the camera. Trail cameras to tend to be a good asset to have. We had an area that we loved to hunt, but there were years we weren't seeing deer. Don't know why. We thought about never going back but decided to put out trail cameras. Glad we did. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

@JnJTrueOutdoorAdventures3 күн бұрын
Thanks, Dan. So far, I am really liking this camera over the many we have tested. I like that it is solar with built in lithium batteries, and that it is capable of having alkaline backup batteries. You don't have to put the alkaline, but it is nice to know if you have a lot of activity at night, and you have it to do pic & video, and those videos are recording 10 or 20 seconds each time it will quickly cause the lithium batteries to drain. When they get two low, the instructions will tell you that you may get a picture and a black video. So, with the alkaline batteries installed, it will switch over to them till daylight when the solar will charge the lithium batteries back up. As Jerod and I have noticed, it doesn't have to be a sunny day, for them to charge, it just has to be daylight. Of course, with the sun out they get a better charge. The app seems to work very well from what Jerod and I both have seen. This one is the TC02 model and he has the TC22 model. The only thing with the TC22 is it doesn't have the alkaline battery backup capability. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

I’m looking at getting another camera. I went to dicks sporting goods in Va a few months ago and they don’t have anything hunting related anymore. Not even camo gloves.

I haven't been in Dicks since the issues of them selling AR15's back years ago. Dicks used to be a nice hunting/fishing sporting goods store before that issue, then they went liberal. Jerod and I have tested several cameras over a year or so now, and we are liking this Voopeak solar trail camera. There are so many on the market now days. The one in this video is the TC02 and Jerod has the TC22. His has been out in the elements Since mid-September and he hasn't had to do anything. HIs, the TC22 doesn't have alkaline backup like this one I reviewed, the TC02. I like having the alkaline backup. With the app, I can connect to my camera as well as his and vice versa for him via the Wi-Fi connection. That means we don't have to go and actually touch the camera. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
