This is incredibly helpful! I record birds in much the same way as you do in the sample video of the blue jay. I've encountered so many frustrations with trail cameras, since they are not really made for what we do. The camera in my inventory that takes the best photos and videos will barely record sound, and the camera that records sound the best can't even support 30fps. The TC22 sounds like a dream -- I gasped out loud when you mentioned the auto-extend feature. Not going to lie, though, "Voopeak" sounds like one of those shady drop-ship companies that sell on Amazon. That said, the blue jay in the sample video still looks kind of out-of-focus to me -- maybe because it's so close to the camera? I've hacked each of my Brownings with a reading glass lens to improve the sharpness of close-up bird video (though this, of course, comes at the expense of background focus). This was a technique recommended by another KZbinr, and it works great as long as the lens stays in place and dry. The Brownings are nice enough, but they lack a "photo+video" option like the Camparks have, and of course they have no auto-extend feature. Thank you so much for this video -- I'm trying to resist the urge to order a TC 22 immediately while sitting here watching KZbin! 😛

Yeah, to really get perfect focus up close you really need a close-up lens. The sound is great. I use another TC22 with a lens in the stream. you can see some of the examples in my Instagram feed

Isn't this the same camera as the Campark TC22 that you reviewed a year ago ?

It is very similar it just has some upgraded software for the add-on videos and a view minor differences. I love the Campark TC22 it just went through being underwater for the hurricane and still works fine! BB

@@MyBackyardBirding Amazing ! Yes, Integrated solar panel with rechargeable internal lithium battery is definitely the way to go IMHO - the camera is completely sealed from the elements.
