We have a saying in evora. If you want to reconstruct something inside the walls don't dig the grounds or break the walls because you will always find some old artfact that will stop your constructions for like 3 years. There were tunels all under the city leading to Sé. Most of those are still there and you can see some of it, and also the ancient public bath in the building of the cityhall
@joenandamalie4 жыл бұрын
Haha, that is very cool because it might actually be true! Unless you keep the digging to yourself! :D

Me and my girlfriend visited Don Joaquim because of you! It was worth it: awesome and friendly staff and out of this world food. It combines traditional Alentejo food and some innovation. It was actually one of the best restaurants we have been in Portugal. It’s also not expensive at all! We asked for: - starters: Coelho and fried Cheese - main: almofada de porco preto -dessert: fidalgo and olive oil and honey ice cream (so good) We said we visited them because of this video and they actually said you were a nice couple 🤓

I have discovered your youtube channel recently and I'm on a marathon seeing all your videos. They are excellent and a great promotion of Portugal. I know that everyone is always asking you to visit their hometown or some place, so I'm not going to be different. :P When you come back to Lisbon you should go and discover the surroundings of Lisbon like Queluz. There you can see Palácio de Queluz and, since you like to eat, go to Pastelaria Marianita and eat some of the best pastéis de nata and croissants. Then go a bit further and taste de Fofos de Belas, also another famous cake. Finally, go to Mafra and discover Palácio de Mafra, Tapada de Mafra and Aldeia Típica de José Franco. I think you will love it and probably only need a day to take that tour since is very close to Lisbon.
