I'll be the first to say that yes, the protagonist in this game looks like a younger, kinder Vigo the Carpathian...or maybe the offspring of Vigo and Kevin Sorbo. I added a bunch of links to related videos in the description, check them out. And thanks for watching!

Vorg is such a 90s sci-fi name. Like an alien race in babylon 5 or something. Such a neat and obscure find.

Totally 90s! Kind of sounds like a fake arcade game in a TV show from the era.

Incredible find! The gameplay looks like something out of the anime Legend of the Galactic Heroes, which was popular at the time.

4:45 IIRC, a high price point, spurred by needing extra storage space for the elaborate cut scenes, ultimately sunk the completed port of Wing Commander II on SNES. Really sad, too, given how excellent it apparently looked. It always breaks my heart when we can't even get the source code or compiled binary for unreleased titles. Please keep up the excellent work!

Interesting Video. I'm sure this Game might be considered as Lost Media along with Other Cancelled or Unreleased Super NES/Super Famicom Games like that Weird Christopher Columbus Shoot Em' Up and maybe they might released a Prototype ROM sometime in the Future

The reported unreleased games for the 32X (like Alien VS Predator shown towards the beginning of this video) is really tragic. Wild Guns, Elite, a Castlevania game, etc.
@ImportGamingFTW2 жыл бұрын
Definitely--I learned about a majority of those from Jenovi's series on them. AvP was my favorite arcade game for many years, a home port would have meant a purchase of a 32X sooner rather than later!

What a shame! Another game lost to time. Thank you so much for uploading this and translating it for the rest of us. I love seeing what was capable with the late-gen SNES games. Dragon Quest 3 for SFC blew my mind for example. This game, not sure. It doesn't appear to have any wow factor. Especially for a price point like that. I do enjoy real time strategy, so maybe it's amazing while playing.

Tengai Makyou when?

Hard to answer. I've been trying to gain more subscribers so that when it does come out, there will be more eyes on it (my videos don't get shared much on YT). It will come out eventually. I have tons of assets and a rough draft of the script (split up version) ready to go, so we'll see!

You think Konami will make a new suikoden? And if they do, you think it'll be good?
@ImportGamingFTW2 жыл бұрын
If some or most of the creative staff is hired back on and there's little meddling from Konami to make it mobile or whatever popular trend is happening at the time, I find it hard to imagine that the game would be bad! I think with the remasters coming out, the potential for a new Suiko game is higher than it's been in a decade. Fingers crossed.

I should have displayed his name, since it also has a custom/unique spelling when romanized. "Kow Yokoyama."
@carlcouture10232 жыл бұрын
It was probably cancelled because of the release date. In 1995 the Playstation and Saturn were already out in Japan and Naxat probably didn't have faith in such an expensive game with new consoles getting all the hype. Plus RTSs aren't big sellers in Japan so that price tag, which was likely necessary due to ROM size, would be too risky. Still it's a shame that it never came out and with the release being only a few months away it was probably almost complete.

This looks like one of those games that looks ambitious and you can tell the devs really wanted to make something special and unique, but it just ends up not being very fun to play. Pretending balls of Playdoh are fleets of starships moving at two miles an hour doesn't look all that enjoyable, so I can see why it cancelled.
@ImportGamingFTW Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I imagine it was too little, too late for the game. Balls of Playdoh made me chuckle.
