1:22 - Katsuya Kobayashi has a memorable role in one of my favorite films. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend checking out "Rentaneko," the film that made me fall in love with Mikako Ichikawa. It is a perfect blend of humor with genuine emotion, about a woman who walks around with a cart full of cats, renting them to lonely people she meets.

Thanks, Stika--I just messed around with a few filters in Davinci Resolve, mainly "analog damage." You use Premiere, right? That should produce an even better effect, but if you have Davinci and want to know my settings, let me know!

@ImportGamingFTW I have tried to do a vhs effect on premiere but it never looked good. Even tried a few tutorials

@@st1ka I'm sure there's some kind of "sweet science" to getting it to look great in Premiere. It's pretty simple to do in Davinci, even the default settings/presets do a fine job in my opinion. I was going to suggest just getting the free version of Resolve for that filter, but it's the paid version only, unfortunately.

definitely going to have to watch some of these later! cool to see them all archived here on youtube for sure. Hopefully the Nintendo Legal Ninjas don't get to them, y'know how they can be. (certainly a little less worried about SEGA's, though) But definitely looking forward to seeing more of the SEGA CG WORLD tape, Daytona and VF2 are definitely a couple of my all time favorite SEGA titles. this is definitely one of my favorite things to see on youtube, folks archiving these promo tapes in all their retro 90s glory. I'd probably lean more toward the SEGA side just because I didn't have as much experience with the N64 and that era, I was over on Saturn at the time.

Always appreciate it, my man! Sega arcade games in the 90s were pretty much the pinnacle of game center gaming at the time! And I think they all still hold up extremely well today.

Some awesome tapes shown here. Thanks for sharing. As for me, I was always a Nintendo fan. I mean an incredibly hardcore one before I became an adult. I of course learned to appreciate all things gaming later on, but Nintendo is still my favorite after all these years. Seta for some reason never really appealed to me that much. I recently got more into the PC Engine with the mini console, and I'm vibing with it much more than the Mega Drive. But Sega's still cool though.
