Uploading a bit longer tutorial this time, explaining how I think when working with sampled sounds!🔥 Comment a song you think would work as the perfect sample!!🚀
@alexthejapanfan79054 жыл бұрын
Wow really? In all honesty though, I did realize that your tutorials are pretty much unreliable maybe even to me once I heard this in my head: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2LIdXWDa9yefdk And that's only one song that made me think of that, that remix is really good, there's also one more that does that but I had yet to link it yet, thanks for at least trying to promote that midi pack tho I'm sure anyone can do that and then some with enough help. ;) signed with care and will - ATJF. (Edit: I found the 2th link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKariWCKra6DrKc If anyone reads this comment, please like if you think that way. Maybe reply to it? I can't wait to see the replys from this one. 👍) (Edit 2: wow these people are stupid, they can't even reply to the comment, besides, why do you want to listen to vories's so called "tutorials"? There most likely Fucking unreliable one you listen to better music that proves it wrong? If he did a tutorial on mixing, it would be a really stupid tutorial, I swear to Fucking God that right now no one is replying to this comment because they can't handle being smart, there just likely more dumb than a dumb quiz game, I swear I just want to get someone to reply to this comment and this happens? Really Sutpid, I say. T___T)

Ok, this is getting spooky. Vories is hands down my favourite tutorial channel, and also one of the few who really inspire and teach me things about music producing. I found an interesting sample today but was clueless about how to make something good with it, so I just kinda gave up. And then this comes up in my notifications. If this guy isn't magical I dont know what is...

I don't mean to hate or anything but a lot of the melodies are off key and the sample doesn't really fit with the tracks very well. I did enjoy the editing however and the overall production skill was quite good.

@eugene59874 жыл бұрын
I kinda agree that the sample doesn't totally fit. For the music theory, happy birthday is written in the key of G major, and he flattened the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th, putting it in the G Locrian mode (7th mode of Ab major), a bit darker and different than just the parallel minor. It's not an Arabic scale, but it functions basically the same as either of those would, darkening the melody a lot more than the original in Gmaj. I see this technique used a lot by trap, EDM, and other genre tutorial producers on youtube, and its a good technique for tutorials like this. It functions well for darkening melodies which are written in major keys and it's easy to do. I still think it is cool to understand what you're doing and he didn't explain any theory when he changed the melody notes, which is what theory is for. Although, when he used the sample from the video he stopped using the happy birthday melody and used the sample's melody, which is actually the melody from a part of Rossini - The Barber of Seville: Overture. The only clash I can really hear is between the violins/melody from the original sample and his new chords, there are indeed some spicy notes there, but everything else he made himself basically fits into G Locrian, or F minor, which is more of the key it actually is in since G Locrian is very tense and doesn't really resolve that well. His "resolution/home" chord is a Fsus4 at the beginning of every four bars. (g Locrian, f minor, and Ab major are made up of all the same notes, where f minor=6th mode of Ab major/Ionian) If anyone cares, his chord progression is like Fsus4, functioning as tonic minor, Bbmin9, Abmaj9, and then Gmi11.

Greta explanation of push and pull tactics, I always try to use the pull tactic sometimes not so well but so many amateur remixes are basically a song with a sample thrown in and at that point there is no reason to make a bootleg just kill the sample and make a different song.

And you explained it clearly in push tactic it's very hard to fit the actual vocals since mostly those parodies that we the vocals from are already pitch shifted for obvious reasons. Pull is hard too, but it's the best if given time.
