that grease injector looks handy, And a lot cleaner than the WD-40 spray in lithium grease I used on rails once. Good stuff just have to wear gloves and cover the part when spraying in.

What screw length did you use at the end to mount the bed? The M3x16 are about 4mm too small in this kit.
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
Great question! The LDO Motors addendum docs (docs.ldomotors.com/en/voron/voron2/kit-errata) advise you to use M3x20 SHCS here as the build plate and bed spacers are both a little thicker than the hardware specified in the BOM.

When following the Voron manual, how do you know which printed part is needed at that moment? I feel dumb for asking this as it is probably real simple lol
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
Never feel dumb for asking questions! Honestly, it just takes a bit of time with the printer / parts to get familiar with them. Before long you are able to identify them all very easily. If you have any problems figuring it out feel free to ask in the Voron discord! Very helpful folks in there.

thanks for the vids. i enjoy the format and the editing.. do you have an amazon link for the ruler and square you are using? also did the red measurement gauge come with the printed parts or you printed this separately?
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for watching! The square did come from amazon: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01DYC0988/ The ruler is from digikey: www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/digi-key-electronics/PCB-RULER-12INCH/5767550 and the little red piece is called the pulley_jig, you can find it with the stls on github here: github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-2/blob/Voron2.4/STLs/Tools/pulley_jig.stl hope that helps!

What spacing jig did you use in the video?
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
if you're referring to the one used on the motors at 11:50, that's the `pulley_jig` in the tools folder here: github.com/VoronDesign/Voron-2/blob/Voron2.4/STLs/Tools/pulley_jig.stl

Hi, great video! Could you advise what solution to clean the rails in? Many thanks
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
we used 99% Isopropyl alcohol
@julianlloyd47432 жыл бұрын
@@MapleLeafMakers thanks, and would you recommend this should be completed on all rails?
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Some manufacturers will say their rails do not need to be cleaned before use but it doesn't hurt anyway.

What size is this kit? I haven't made it through the series yet. Thanks for the guide!
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
Hey Charles. This is a 300 kit. We're still working on releasing more videos all the time, with a new one coming very soon on this build. It's quite a bit of work editing them all together but progress is being made!
@livedeliciously Жыл бұрын
@@MapleLeafMakers Why did you choose the 300 over the 350?
@MapleLeafMakers Жыл бұрын
@@livedeliciously A few reasons, the 350 is getting very large and hard to fit through standard doors. We also rarely print something that would benefit from a print surface that large.

Thank you ! So nice to see a build vid without some blowhard talking through it.

No problem 👍 These complete build videos we want to follow this same format for all of them. When we start releasing 'maker' projects you may have to put up with a bit of a blowhard talking through it though :D

How in the hell are your t nuts going in so easy? Mine cant click in. tried everything. Only forcing them in helps but then I bend everything that is not supposed to bend.
@MapleLeafMakers2 жыл бұрын
We have had issues with some t nuts being slightly out of spec in the past. Do you have an ldo kit with t nuts not sliding?
@irnesvelic74672 жыл бұрын
@@MapleLeafMakers I received a new LDO 350 kit yesterday. I was able to lock only two in place for the first 15 I had to do. It was impossible. I had to disasemble a lot of the frame, and slot them in. No chance just to click them in place like you did in the video. Tried for almost 2hours with everything, tilt, push, squeez you name it.. Tried on different sides on extrusion Nothing helped. My fingers are destroyed from trying to push those suckers in.
@fullydoved2 жыл бұрын
@@irnesvelic7467 That's not good / normal at all! I would contact your re-seller and let them know. If you have a caliper measure the t-nuts and extrusion gaps, figure out what's going on.
@irnesvelic74672 жыл бұрын
@@fullydoved Yeah I'll have to do that. But I have figured a method to pop them in. I use a small hex driver and apply just enough pressure to keep them in place, then I use a longer M5 Bolt and bolt it in, and then I pop that sucker in without causing any damage to the threads of the nut or bending the aluminium extruder.
