You should make the shells detachable. It'd be really cool so you could hide stuff inside. It would also be cool if you made a small series about making stuff with hidden compartments on the inside.

As an internal light source a Pico laser projector module with a prism or spinning mirror would let you cast cool animations all over the shell. If the shell were photosensitive perhaps it could also retain ghost images of scenes that are projected upon it over a certain period of time. But hopefully not cause burn in.

OH MY GOOOOOSH!!! This makes me wish I had a 3D printer and the experience of making 3D models to create some of these figurines on my own!! This is so cute! And it's something that would make still life drawings so much more fun to do, since I hate doing still lives but have to do them on my own for school. Plus, I LOVE little models! I still have my tree and waterfall from my first play with my 3Doodler, though it needs more filament...

THANK YOU!! I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what these kinds of prints are called. No amount of google-fu would've yielded frickin voronoi lol. Then I was worried about figuring out how I'd be able to make a pattern like that for my specific application (an airy enclosure for a large 3 PCB stack) and here's a how-to. My CR-10S should arrive tomorrow!

those snails are just adorable! great work! seeing those two black and white ones made me think that they'd make cute little book supports, and I came here to ask: can you make book supports on a 3D printer? I always see metal ones, and it got me wondering if you can come up with some way to make it work with a 3D printer. anyways, keep up the great work.
