Vortech V3 Heritage Supercharger sound on a Foxbody Mustang

If you want to know what the Vortech V3 Heritage Edition Supercharger sounds like before buying it this should help. I couldn’t find anything online before buying mine so hopefully my video will help you. It sounds great and everyone down the street will hear you coming! With 9# of boost and TrickFlow top end kit I got 432rwhp with a very conservative tune.

Thank you for watching. I replaced the in tank pump with a Walbro 255lph and aeromotove regulator with 60# injectors. Haven’t had any fuel supply issues at all.

Thank you! Original factory color is Bright Regatta Blue. Car has been painted, but engine bay is original and it's a pretty close match.

Where did you get that blue egr spacer? I've got a blue lx similar build that would look great on.

I got the Throttle Body and EGR from Accufab. They were both polished aluminum, but I had a friend anodize the EGR to match the car's color. I'm sure any shop that can anodize could hook you up! Thank you for watching!

This is the TrickFlow Track Heat Top End Kit. Standard valve covers as far as I know. Rockers are TFS 1.6.

I know this is a long shot but you wouldn't consider selling the car would you? I just bought an 88 all original Fox body with low miles but it's a speed density car. Out of curiosity, how much power did you make on motor prior to the blower install? Car sounds awesome, by the way!

I had some ignition issues on they dyno when I did the Heads Cam Intake upgrade. It kept breaking up around 5000 RPM. I barely got 288whp. Replaced Cap, Rotor, Wires and upgraded to ScreaminDemon coil. After those mods plus supercharger, injectors and tune I got 432rwhp. Huge gain! Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@BrotherTom right on! I've acquired a '93 LX that my best friend built before he passed away last year, and his plans were to go Vortech and I'm doing my research to help fulfill that dream. Car currently makes 340 with a TrickFlow top end, 306CID. The motor was built with the intention of seeing boost, and your videos definitely helped narrow down the options!

@@AFSil80 sorry to hear about your friend passing. Very cool that you are going to honor him and complete the project. 340 is a great number already. You will pickup 150hp without trying too hard. I'm going down a pulley size from 3.33 to 3.12 which will add about 3-4lbs of boost and pickup some more HP! I'm on IG too if you'd like to follow. Same name @brothertom

I got the kit from DynoTuneMP in Hampshire, IL. They usually have an end of year sale so I got a great deal on the kit with install, custom tune and dyno. This is a standard V3 Si trim, but I upgraded the gear set to the Heritage edition so it has the loud gear noise at idle like the old V1. These kits are 8-9lbs kits.

@@3pedalfox I have a very conservative tune because it's a stock block ankd I'm right at the crank 500hp limit. It is tuned for street driving and drives smooth. Once you hit the boost though it's a completely different car.

Nice bro! Im looking into getting this blower. I have the trick flow track top end kit i made 304hp and 307tq. I wanna add this heritage series to my fox now lol also i daily drive stock block and made those numbers. My dyno they kept it safe and i wanna do the same when i add the blower, hoping to make the numbers that you made as well

@@yaboyskeet634 You have the perfect top end if you want to add some boost. With 8-9# you will easily add over 100 rwhp to your fox! This setup is perfect for the street. Mild mannered until you hammer down haha. Keep me posted and good luck!

Does your heritage get quieter after it warms up? Mine seems to quiet down at idle almost sounds like a regular v3. Rev it a little and it screams. Mine is on my 99gt.

No mine actually gets louder once the car warms up. Have a lot of videos on Instagram just search @brothertom. I know rpm has a lot to do with it and keeping the idle speed below 1k with a choppy cam really wakes it up. Still think the V1 sounds the best but the V3 heritage is a very close second.

Both are from Summit Racing. The breather is part number TFS-44021 and the breather sock is AAF-ALL36208. I usually order a couple at a time since they are very inexpensive.

@@RetroFoxZach Yeah it's the one that came with the top end kit. I don't love it, but it works. The breather helped a lot. Before this I was getting some oil coming out the top of the oil filler neck and also the dipstick was unseating under boost. No more issues at all.
