I have been waiting for this for so long, I love it! You haven’t done these types of tests in 2 years.

Would be so cool to see a battle of the front flusher, or do comparison of popular toilets of each generation like 40s, 50s 60s 70s etc...

I don't plan on doing a lot of them but I will do the ones I think are interesting.

I'll take a siphon-jet and swirler (however minimal) over a front flusher any day. Seems like they forgot the lessons of yesteryear of the CCW swirler + Coriolis effect twists waste into a compact rope-like structure to pass the trapway. Simply ramming waste down the trapway doesn't really work except for commercial blow out (with optional siphon-jet) type terlits. That said, the ramming will work only with large diameter trapways with sufficient water flows of 3.5+ gpf.
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations4 күн бұрын
I think they could both do with more water but I would definitely take the Mansfield.

I don't really expect good performance from front flushers, I'm not a big fan of them, but here, I'll take the alto.

My house was built in 2005 and it came with 3 Kohler wellworth ingeniums along with all Kohler fixtures from the time.

They are both common for me, because I went to 2 houses in Southern California, and I've seen both in 2 neighborhoods about 2 miles apart from each other.

Just by watching this video, I would definitely say the winner would be either the Mansfield alto or Vortens Vienna can’t really decide which one to choose from because I don’t know which one is better 🤔
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations4 күн бұрын
I would definitely say the winner is one of them too since they are the only two toilets being compared.

I like both of them but the I’ll give it to the vortens
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations4 күн бұрын
It performs better and the flapper can be replaced for a better flush. However, if I was installing one, I would choose the Mansfield Alto because they don't have a history of tanks cracking.
@Joshhhhh1234517 күн бұрын
I’d say the Vienna wins these altos from that time are horrible but I’m not a fan of either of them. A test that would be interesting would be a universal rundle atlas vs a Briggs Abington.
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations4 күн бұрын
I think the Atlas would win. I'm planning to get myself a Kilgore Apex and do some comparison videos with that.
