Sold on the Dream mat. Damn it.🤦♂️ It's exactly what I need for my Sluice A51 with stand. I'm always finding myself in low flow/ awkward flowing water so I end up basically Manually high banking in the river. I lose more than I find I believe. 217th 👍 Subscribed

Just found your channel...I subbed, great video mate, I have been wondering how these mats run, and the way you ran the 3 and tested was a great idea! At first I was like awww..losses..i hate losses! but then I seen all that gold dust it did catch! WHOAA! I have to agree with you about the bubbles causing those losses. All said and done I am impressed..I think this mat would do great in my keene box...But I have been wanting to add onto my 36" as you did and mix up some mattage.. Thanks for the Vid! Look forward to seeing more in my feed!

are sluices supposed to have all that turbulence and air bubbles in the water? im new at this. seen videos by old timers that say they dont want that kind of turbulence.

Haha! I was in a creek here in the middle part of Norway and that is more gold in those 20 specs on last mat than you find in the entire sluice here. And yes, when looking for gold I know you are supposed to look where there IS gold. But when you look where "there isn't" and you look really hard, you can still find -50# specs :)

hey guy i plan on running that test. problem is all my gh mat os cut to 300m wide and these mats are 12 inch so ill have to make an adaptor and run two long sluices. might take me a while but ill get it done mate.

can i use this as a stream sluice (no power)and what flow rate and angle would be best? can it take hi rates of material or does it need to be screened first?cheers

great vid bud, really good results from the mats, what pitch are you running the banker at? I'll be sure sitting down in the mornings with my coffee, going through the other videos. cheers bud

+Kane Dalton hey Kane thanks mate, in this video i'm running 7 degrees, that works very well ive found in holding down that micron gold. 7-9 degrees is a good rule of thumb. The idea being too shallow and large rocks hang around and create eddies in the mat too fast and well i haven't seen too fast yet, i reckon i could run this mat at 11 degrees with enough water and it would still kill it.

I was thinking, I built this stacking highbanker with 3.5 x 100cmx30cm runs that I can set different mats in. It would be so easy to run this mat in one and gold hog in another, run a sample, then swap the order of the stacks and run the opposite order to see which one lets more stuff through.
@GoldRatEngineering7 жыл бұрын
Macks Power for sure you can always test two mats in two runs with varied configurations. Problem is controlled testing requires the same dirt ran the same way and both mats being dialed in optimally which you cant get in the same system its just not realistic. What ive found having run gold hog for many years successfully was that gold hog likes alot less water and acts more like a skimming mat and it requires frequent cleanouts and constant feed. If you stop feeding youll blow gold out. Dream mat needs alot more water to run efficently which lends itself better to the ideal setup with good spraybar pressure to break clay anf liberate gold. Its far more efficent in the normal everday situation like in a river sluice. Each to their own really I've done my tests and know dream mat runs laps around gh mats in almost all situations including commercial mines gh blinds too easily.

Dream mats the water flow has to be slower and no more than 8 degrees to work the best.
@GoldRatEngineering2 жыл бұрын
Nope

add 3 to 4 drops of jetdry or dish soap and it stops the gold from floating.

Miners Moss does work much better and esp in a small application like a highbanker , these mats will lose gold if the angle is not set correctly and miners moss does not have that problem , if your heavies build up clean you mats , I have used both systems and miners moss is the best way to go , this is my 45th year of mining and I have seen lots of systems and miners beats cells anyday of the week !!! Try a side by side test using different angles , the miners moss will capture everything the cells will not
