When I hear the name "Vortex Razor" I immediately think a Big, Heavy, Beast of an optic! Not is the case here. This LHT (Lightweight, Hunter, Tactical) is the exact opposite of what you might initially expect. Small, sleek, and on a serious diet. This Razor might parallel the Gen II's as far as quality goes, but the lines couldnt be any farther from one another. Will this be able to be taken seriously as a tactical optic for those looking to build a light rig?

I’ve been very happy with my LHT 4.5-22 FFP on my Bergara MG Lite in 300 win mag. Great pairing there. Very lightweight with very nice glass. No, it isn’t my ZCO 4-20, but it costs 1/3 as much.

Wish Vortex hadn't cancelled the Razor HD Light H unter (no Tactical) line. The 2-10 is almost the perfect do-everything scope when weight matters, IMO.

I am currently running this on a Springfield waypoint 2020 in 6.5 creedmoor for a hunting long range setup. The whole setup weighs less than 8lbs with this optic mounted. It is a hell of a setup. I really like the lower mag levels on this scope. I was considering going with a Leupold mk5HD, and a Nightforce atacr 4-20 but the weight (8-11 ounces lighter than the leupold NF) and recommendation from Dark lord of optics swayed me to give it a chance. I'm glad I did. I love it. The illumination button sucks but it's the least of my concerns.

I have the carbon 6.5prc waypoint and probably goin with it also…like the 4x32nx8…and of course the big pm2 and zecos but it’d ruin a light weight rig puttin a monster scope on when 22x really be more than enough for where I’m at

@charlesmullins3238 Yes exactly. The nightforce nx8 4-32 is an awesome scope. I run the nightforce atacr 4-16 on a knights spr setup and it's the heat. But it's heavier and wouldn't be as nimble on my carbon fiber rifle where I'm trying to save weight.

@@andrewclodfelter3782 have the dd5v3 setup with prs stock..ssa-e trigger..419hellfire..and swap my 3x15 viper from fn bolt action to it…absolute tack drivin auto and been to 1k yrds with my handloads…loaded for it 3yr now and have many and I mean man different.308 loads from 110s to 180s…2x20nf is a killer range

I've seen some examples online of these breaking or losing zero with some pretty minimal falls/impacts. I know it's not part of your normal testing, but any chance you bump it around a little and see how it holds zero?

Mine did. Ran on a ddmk12 18" gas gun. Rifle was knocked over and on next range trip had drifted zero 3" right @ 100 yds. Re-zeroed and next day POI shift 2" left. Sent to vortex and received in 1 week. Great glass but I'm not super confident in durability. Not confident running it in match series finale 😕

This Vortex Razor LHT is specifically designed to be a lighter weight scope will have compromises on structural integrity. Get a much heavier scope specifically designed for tactical use instead such as a Nightforce ATACR or Razor gen 2 or at least a Tract Toric ELR if on a budget.

Clear glass but definitely not for PRS. But that is what the LHT means.

It's the purple and blue halo around contrasting surroundings. Try looking through poor quality junk scopes specifically scopes with "made in China" labeling and you set them on their maximum zoom.

More lpvo please, or reflex, or under 3x prism for more views. Love your content regardless of what you post but tbh long range scopes are absolutely useless for practical applications so most people won’t be looking at them before owning a few good lpvos.
