Have you ever wondered why aeroplanes have winglets at their end? Do those wing tips have any connection to the aerodynamics behind the flight of birds? In this video we talk about vortices and why they are both good and bad- just like friction.

nice content bruv, try to add a subtle background music in your videos.. and I could also see the 'Noel Deyzel's gestures in you😅

Good explanation!!. Also your video on shockwave is very much informative. Make more videos of vortices. Example :- why birds fly in groups in V shape.

@@2BrokeScientists i have a request to you, i have a doubt regarding how exactly the pressure waves are formed, can u explain me aur please provide link to understand this if possible. I know basics but i am not visualise it perfectly.

loved the video! I don't know whether this is an easy / hard question to respond to but why is it that the low pressure at the core of the vortex "attracts particles from all around it" please?

Thanks Dylan! Whenever there is a difference in pressure, a flow is created. In this case, the low pressure pulls fluid particles towards the center but that pull is balanced by the centrifugal force of the revolving particles. Kind of like a ball on a string.

@@2BrokeScientists ah, thank you! Now that I think of it, isn't there a term on one side of the Navier-Stokes to represent a pressure gradient? & I guess that, if one side of the N-S equations is non-zero, the other side must be too?

Parasite drag is produced by VERTICAL surfaces and Induced drag is created by HORIZONTAL surfaces, for example when the Flaps are at 0 degrees they produce Max Induced drag and Min Parasite drag, at 90 degrees Min Induced and Max Parasite drag and at 45 degrees in the middle of both, for a flap with no thickness. The fact that Lift and drag are both proportional to airspeed squared, means airspeed affects a 2 Dimensional surface, geometrically a Square plane. Wing Vortices are not the cause of Induced Drag but it is just a Visible Effect of it. I have developed a hypothesis to explain physical, atomic and subatomic (gravitational movements, Center of Gravity and Mass), however I need to validate my V & H surfaces theory first. It seems that Winglets reduce Lift and increase Drag, I also believe in turbance Winglets impose additional stress to wings and all other moving parts inside the wings like rods, joints and moving surfaces. Wingtips also decrease the stability and controllability in turbulent air. Simply put another british scam. Please let me know what you think, thanks.
