Think the game still have a little bit to be funnier to play than others.. also, infernals crearly are OP. The nice thing that we saw in Starcraft Broodwar (that none other have, and best bit-art ever) is the personality of the races. This faction look like zergs, but zergs had to work hard to be swarmy, had to really build an economy based on strategic use of their scarce resources at the first stages of the game. Terran have specialyzed units that are optimal for certain tasks but just will die if wrong placed, moderate economy but usually cost-efficient. Protoss... well. This new games look like marvel movies, pure action little development. That said, wish the best in final versions!

I wouldn't worry about it, T3 units aren't even in the game yet, and infest is being toned back for the beta (so there shouldn't be such a big horde of fiends appearing from out of nowhere).

honest question, what does this game offer that is better than starcraft 2? not a starcraft player, RTS fan, currently play aoe2, thinking of investing into a new game

I think they're aiming to replicate the mechanical feel of sc2 while changing some of the gameplay design. I say it depends on the person's opinion as to whether their design changes are better than sc2 though. In sc2 units die very fast, which leads to really quick fights, and has units that can just aoe delete your army if you look away for a moment. An even match can literally be lost or won in a handful of seconds. So increasing the time to kill will give more opportunity for micro and decisions. Also less viability of massing air units which was a common complaint of sc2, so it will be focused on ground battles which lets the terrain be part of the positioning and tactics of fights. In my opinion sc2 often would feel like a fighting game rather than tactical. Those are just a couple examples regarding the fights but there's also different design decisions regarding macro. Also more focus on team games. 3v3 is their focus along with 1v1. sc2 had team games but were an afterthought and didn't have any separate balancing. Also I think most importantly is that the game will actually be supported and maintained compared to sc2 which is basically abandoned by blizzard. So also more esport support and funding. Basically I think it will play like sc2 while also having enough gameplay differences that a lot of people will prefer, and if people prefer sc2 they can still play that.

I think defense is too strong in this game. It makes it more boring to watch as it feels like only 2 units get made and massed the blobbed together in battles. So many choke points and slow engagements. It's hard to tell what is going on for individual micro for the most part. In starcraft 2 it's tough but always action packed with tons of unit micro and battle controlling units like baneling, disruptor, widow mine, siege tanks, templar so you see explosive action.

I think most RTS games going forward are keeping the time to kill units longer than what it is in sc2, which is better for the actual rts players themselves, and I think it honestly allows more tactical, and micro actions to be made during a fight. But due to this I think SC2 is always going to have the more explosive fights with armies being punished in seconds by poor decisions.

i have to say: WOW does this game look lame. Hopefully it will be far more exiting over its developement, but in my opinion showing the game when it is this early is a big mistake!

Nope not really. By doing this, they ll have plenty of input from testers and ACTUALLY make changes down the line to suit the preference of potential players that would spend their time playing the game. I was also surprised by how unaware you are that this has been an essential stage in game development . And truly, the real “wow” here. Imagine saying “showing this game early was a mistake” to a game that has been taking the traditional (and proven to be the most effective) way in presenting a new game product to the public. Id recommend looking into game dev stage, beta or alpha. :) thank me later. And we all can be free from this kind of rant that is literally non constructive.

Oh, and based on all your previous comments, 😂😂 I just dont know even if the devs explain to you directly that the current iteration of the game is an early build and is for people to test out the gameplay (which the have multiple times) you wont listen either, youd just rant about this game is SO BAD.
