I have this watch, and I like it for the most part, but in 2023 it should have a hacking movement, then it would be brilliant. I also have the red sea, the same comments apply.

Just added to my collection. Loved the signed buckle but not the tapering of the factory strap. Went with a nylon strap to cover the unpolished case back. Much more comfortable. Thanks for the review.

im slowly converting all of my watches to a rubber or silicon strap. bracelets look pretty but depending on the person, you may swell up by days end and the bracelet will start to get supper uncomfortable. even Rolex is now supplying high quality silicon/rubber straps vs bracelets on some models of watch.

@@JoeinPNW Your switch is a good idea, especially for summer. I had wanted to put an Omega strap on my heavy Planet Ocean but I won't pay a premium for the logo on nylon. Have fun with your collection!

New to the channel, was searching for this model. Looks like a Breitling Superocean with aluminum bezel insert instead of pvd. The case is a bit on the thick side, 14.5mm is usually for 500m wr. The lug width is 20mm against a 42mm makes the watch a slightly unbalanced. Especially on a strap that tapper to 18mm or less. The bracelet is slim against the case thickness and the gap at the end links isn't the best. It needs curved ends and thicker bracelet. From what I ve gathered, it comes on a leather strap with white stiches, good quality or it seems. Not sure why they released this model, which clearly a diver's on leather, rubber or silicone would have been better. Still, for that price you get a lot more than you paid for. How do the dial sizes compare? Ie compatible time swap dials between the 2 models you were showing off?

What about the accuracy? I've heard that some Vostok watches lag a couple of seconds in days. what was your experience with this one?

Does it still work ? Did you test its water resistance?

All of my vostoks still work. The oldest being 10 years old now. This particular watch I normally wear on my boat , swimming in salt water etc. Works perfectly

Looks much more like a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms than a Rolex or Seiko IMO.

I got the very rare yellow version of the older modell. I am so sad it got lost on the post-way after sending it for an reparation.......😢😭 years later i saw exact the same modell in used and worse condition in England at ebay sold for 1200£....!!! May be an interesting Information for you.

That's a sweet watch, I'm looking to build a unicorn 1960's Citizen 500m Chronomaster and that case is closer than my 110, the lugs are far better cause they're ergonomically contoured too. I figure this case and a 916 dial with Mercedes hands are a good start but I've only made 1 purchase from Meranom and don't know if they'll sell it to me. The GMT Reef looks good too and has an optional lumed chapter ring but IDK much about the SCUBA, Black and Red Sea, etc, shame cause they compare nicely against the entry level Citizens, Seikos Orient etc.
