I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Nikkor 50mm 1.4. On another note, if you have any manual macro lenses or prime lenses you'd be willing to part with, I'd love to purchase one! I've been been meaning to find a decent vintage lens to adapt to my own a6000 to take macro shots of Fountain Pens, but I don't have a local thrift store and I'm reluctant to purchase off eBay.

I'll be more than happy to take a few of those lenses off your hands. After learning from them and moving forward to native Sony e lenses, I've come full circle and am now interested in having manual lenses for situations that doesn't require auto focus. I have the Canon, it's a great affordable lens, good for video. So I'd like to see you review the the other. Being a 1.4, I'd imagine it being more of an investment than a 1.8, some opinion whether it's worth it would be great.

both lenses are really interesting i usually go out with a Minolta 28 2.8 and the rokkor pg 50 1.4 or their af versions :). Man try to sell these lenses on ebay and put a link when you do!

Have you ever tried adapting these lenses using a focal reducer? For example, a EF to NEX Lens Turbo II can adapt several different mounts with cheap adapter rings.

Xero Kira Unfortunately a nifty fifty is more like a 75mm focal length on the a6000's APS-C sensor. Great portrait focal length but not quite as versatile. I actually use my Sony 1.8 50mm a lot just because it's my highest quality lens and love the results I get from it but I wish I had the 35mm too right now.
