I was at Disney last Christmas and I was so disappointed in the lack of decorations compared to prior years. The entire park was so brilliantly decorated. For me there is no reason to go to Disney during the holidays as I can see better decorations in my home town. It used to be our holiday destination. Sadly no more.

Tip: If you're okay spending a little extra cash, you can take a Minnie Van from Magic Kingdom to the TTC (they drop you off at your car) for the ride minimum of $20. It helps if you want to avoid the Magic Kingdom closing chaos.

Magic Kingdom at night with the Christmas decorations is so beautiful! I was there once during the Christmas season and it was truly magical. I love the Jungle, I mean Jingle cruise.

I’ll be going there for a week over Xmas but I need to say the decorations are sparse compared to years ago which is why return visitors are becoming less. They seem to get less and less each year compared to the merch that increases each year. Even the free snacks at MVMXP has gotten sparse even though ticket prices have increased. The thing is Disney realized that people who haven’t gone several years don’t realize how sparse it is and Disney can save money.

We have recently returned to the UK from our holiday in Orlando & so disappointed we didn’t get to see you around the parks. We arrived the day after the hurricane and still had a great family holiday together for 2weeks. We usually come in September/October so see all the hallowe’en decorations but would love to see in person the Christmas decorations & atmosphere. Xx🎄

I don’t love the reservation system either, but I think getting rid of it would cause more chaos at this point. Imagine planning for months to visit, you get the hotel, flights, etc only to be turned away at the gate because they are at capacity. I would blow a fuse..lol The RSVP system at least lets you know ahead of time how busy it will be.

I can recall in CA at Disneyland with my SoCal limited Pass, I showed up at the gate & was told I couldn't come in because the park was 'full.' So, it does work.
