9 balls are much easier to juggle when they are moving in slow motion.

I had to use footage of when he was a kid because as an adult, he holds the patterns way too long lol. He's TOO good. As an adult, most of his runs are almost a minute with 9 balls, and over a minute with 8.

They look pretty even here, but you have to remember that Gatto pulled off shit like this time after time, under the spotlights, in front of thousands of people. Galchenko only has to nail it once for the camera.

Good point. Also keep in mind I made them look somewhat even in this video for entertainment purposes, but Gatto's skill is unbelievably higher than Vova's. Gatto can hold 8 balls in a fountain for over a minute and also 9 balls for almost a minute, both of which are the still unbroken world records.
@anthonygod-ofan18756 жыл бұрын
The only record I know about that Vova has is "most 5 up 360s in 60 seconds". Gatto, on the other hand, holds a ton of world records, even after he retired he still has the records for 8 and 9 balls and 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 rings, and 6, 7, and 8 clubs. Vova is known as a SPECIALIST in clubs (he rarely practices balls or rings, which actually earns him more time to practice clubs) and Gatto still has more club world records (even though he only has a limited time to practice clubs, since he practices balls and rings too). I respect Vova, but Anthony Gatto's skills are just too far up to compare.

He not pulled of stuff like this on stage. He not did even one trick in this video on stage. But he was able to pull that of in practice, and this is the reason why he had so many flawless shows. But ofcourse Anthony was way better than Vova.

@@anthonygod-ofan1875 Of course, Vova and Olga had many club passing world records. I think they had 9, 10, and 11 club world records.

@@Jaredthejuggler Now that Vova and Olga are retired from passing, who are some of the best teams to check out on KZbin? I seem to remember a video of Gatto passing with one person, but I can no longer find the video.

Gatto has more control and his throws are more precise, but really amazing juggling from both of them. It is a shame that Vova seems to have disappeared and Gatto has retired. They were both marvelous jugglers.

It's ironic that Anthony Gatto's style is more of a traditional Russian Circus mindset of proper technique, minimal foot movement, and finishing runs with clean finishes while Vova has a bit of a brash American style of barging things, maybe catching a club on the wrong end, and being generally looser in approach.
@joddle232 жыл бұрын
I am not sure I would say that's necessarily Vova's "style" - if you look at numbers that Vova is solid with such as 5 and 6 club tricks, or 7 balls tricks, he has excellent technique - I think it's that most of the numbers (8+ balls and 7 clubs) are at the upper limit of Vova's abilities so his patterns were just not that solid (especially with 8 and 9 balls where he is struggling to hold the pattern together), and while he could run 7 clubs for several hundred catches (300 catches reportedly), Gatto could run 7 clubs for 1000+ catches

Gatto was also the first to make solid runs of a number of juggling patterns -- he wasn't the first to qualify 7 clubs and 9 balls, but no one before him had run the patterns for more than a couple of seconds... these days, there are a lot of 7 club jugglers, but before Anthony, no one had pushed those limits. I love watching Vova, but I also appreciate that he's standing on the shoulders of a giant.
