VOX All Access: Guthrie Trapp Explores the VOX SSC55 and VOX TB35C2

Just saw this video for the 1st time. Right off, great playing! That's 85% of the tone anyway, and brother, you've got that covered. I have an SDC-55 in transparent red, and among my others (Gibsons, Fenders, Gretchs, Rickenbackers, etc.), it holds its ground. I love the co-axial thrice tapped pickups, and the guitars construction is immaculate. Vox must have had their reasons to discontinue this model, but it is one of the greats.

a proof that it is all in your fingers and not in an expensive trade mark guitar :)) Good guitar at a reasonable price for even a professional performance. thats what a skilled session player sounds like , he does alot of country /jazz but he can pull off any style you need . if you need a seasoned guitarist , guthrie is your man .

yes totally agree with you. I think that when you want to market your gears to serious player you use a good player to demo them to bring out all good things the gear capable of. I hope I can find a video where average player like me demo expensive guitars and makes it sound 1/10 of its price lol

Unfortunately this isn’t much of an indication of how I can make one of these sound. Since GT can make a turd and some fishin line sound good. Just sayin.
