VOX amPlug3 High Gain headphone amplifier

i hope build quality has improved over the last generation. my first amPlug 2 Clean had the jackplug ripped out when i tried to unplug it from my guitar. The grip on the output jack in my guitar was too much for the plastic to keep hold of the jack barrel. also on my second amplug 2 Clean the on/off button doesnt always work properly. sometimes i cant turn it on, sometimes it wont turn off and just keeps switching through the channels. new batteries dont change a thing. turns out the plastic piece that you press shifts sideways ever so slightly so that it wont press the button correctly

I guess I'm not the only one wondering if this replaced the Metal one. On one hand I like that it got a clean mode too, as I'm looking for one that can handle both. On the other hand I'm unsure if this one chugs as well as the Metal one did. As far as I can tell there's no video reviews anywhere. Maybe sent some out? Ola did the metal one some years ago already.

In the blues has a review, in wich he shows every Amplug3 model, I must say that the High Gain one sounds pretty good. He uses a humbucker equipped guitar, not P90s like here.

The MV50 over a 4x12 marshall cab sounds pretty good, so I would assume they know what high gain should sound like

They are discontinued now. Yet we have great NUX MP-3 Mighty Plug Pro and FLAMMA FX20. Both are great, and under 100$
