Tanpura is not set to one note , it has aadhara shadjam and the range like s p s, your octave while singing should fit in that range. If you are singing in high pitch and coming back, you should land back in that range. Same with mandara styai as well. S, p,s swaras won't vary , that's why we take them as reference. Starting point should be shadjam ,you should go from there and reach there, hope this helps 😊

If i am notmistaken shruti means microtones that is little notes between two notes for example between Sa and Re there are other small notes which can be sung by experienced singers only.Correct me if i am wrong.

I usually talk about shruti in the context of the 12 notes. Each of these notes is well defined and if we are able to master these 12 notes, that itself sets us up for a good professional standard. Don't worry about the microtones which lie in between these 12 notes as that is not quite applicable to many genres. So for now, you could just aim to get fluency with the 12 notes by mastering different Ragas!
