1. No ear training: Singers should train their ears to identify notes and intervals. 2. No daily warm-ups: Warming up your voice every day is necessary for good vocal health. 3. Singing with your speaking voice: Don't rely on your speaking voice for singing. You need to learn how to use your chest voice, mixed voice, and head voice. 4. No focus on shruti and tala: Shruti is the pitch of the notes and tala is the rhythm. Singers need to focus on both. 5. Not enough repetition: Repetition is key to improving your singing. 6. Singing random gamakas: Gamakas are ornaments used in Indian classical music. Singers need to learn how to use them correctly. 7. Poor posture: Good posture is important for singing. 8. Self-learning: While self-learning can be helpful, it is not enough. Singers also need feedback from a teacher. 9. No multia training: Multia training is the practice of singing in different ragas. This helps singers develop their control over all the notes. 10. Voice abuse: Singers need to be aware of how they use their voice throughout the day, not just when singing

Sir it's great to hear you have started your journey at this age, My suggestion is you can practice is the key, what you can do is you can sing song along with playing it on any device, must consider that volume of the song which is playing on your device is around 50% or as per your convenience, This helps to build your Confidence

Yes definitely diet plays an important role in voice quality. Particularly acid reflux is very harmful to the voice so maintaining good gut health is a must. Yes aging does affect the voice in the natural flow, but aging of the voice can definitely be slowed with proper training and regular vocal exercise. The earlier you start, the better.

*Good one Ji. Thank You. I am 65 years old, Panchapakesan from Mumbai. I think I have a good voice. But have (had) great inclination for singing. When I learn a new song or a song not sung for very long, first, I sing it to myself so that I get the tune right and then I go to see the lyrics as second and finally meaning of the lyrics to give right emotion to it. These days I sing karaoke singing of film songs of Hindi and Tamil. I also feel knowing the lyrics by heart is also important* *Please comment on my approach* Thank You.🙏

I am 78. After a couple of months of self learning, I joined four months ago a studio to learn karaoke singing (one to one training). I don't know the fundamentals of singing/music that you have explained. Still I think I am making some progress, because my teacher is a kind and talented person. I have shared your video with him. Mam i think that the 3rd point is controversial i think both voices can be used chest and head it depends upon the song if both voices can be sung without hurting or straining our throat then it is completely fine. Please correct me if i am wrong😊
