Hey CGB! This is gonna sound cheesy but can you do more of this? This run reminded me a lot of your old days when I started watching you and you'd just let us know what's going on in your head. I just got into magic and you taught me a lot about it. Was great!

I enjoyed this so much - I accidentally watched all of this in one sitting! I meant to just see what decks you were going to do and see maybe one match, but I just sat and watched it all through at double speed. Good to see you banter. Also

State of Standard at 59:19 Casual 10 power on turn 3 with the budget deck. What a time to be alive! Love your content and I think you playing Standard is awesome! There needs to be more excited people overall in the format. Keep up the awesome content, Voxy! 😁

I played against beans and crabs deck with my golgari ramp. This thing is insane. I exiled all the crabs and Tolarian Terrors from the opponents deck with deadly coverup and still died to prowess otter onslaught without being able to establish a board.

Voxy is such a great player. I think limited gives you such «Think out of the box» experience of playing magic. Like half the playlines in the crab decks i would be able to gut it out unless i play the deck like non stop for a week.

As a UW Oculus player, your instincts were spot on in that last match / last game. The Tidebinder play even with not much to target in the later part to keep up pressure was perfect. The Oculus player wants to dig and look for their stuff so bad, but you kept forcing them to spend all their mana to answer your threats instead.

love the collab and hustle! CGB is an outstanding standard player. i'm a pretty consistent mythic player in standard- 1. monitor the top decks that are available on websites and then meta from there (works better when you build your own from scratch, there's typical tropes and then tweak and tune 2. or shamelessly copy popular decks and let your play be the differentiating factor between you and the other players, like nascar (standardized cars + driver's skills) 3. memorize the usual high level players you see on the upper spectrums, memorize their habits and ticks- this is tricky as pushing high level players to reveal themselves get harder, the objective is to decode them beyond the regular good decision making just to provide an example- 1. CGB is an excellent deck builder so people copy the hell out of his decks after the newest episode 2. good cards are good yes, but after a certain point they're just variables you slap out of the way to get to the person, and since they didn't make the deck themselves there usually isn't some crazy depth to their play

CGB was wrong about cache grab. You mill the cards, they do go to exile, but cache grab is able to grab a card from them. "From the milled cards" ignores rip/leyline

Constructed formats are a cancer of card games. Yes I include commander in that category. I would never think of sitting at a table with players that buy staples.
