This is a pretty good video on adjustment, however, my new voyager 2's come with different spray inserts, so if your like me and just started turning the hex key, and if it has pressure, it is going to blow the insert about 5 to 10 feet from your head position. It was kinda funny when I did it. I just installed a complete 9 zone system in my own yard and I have to say, the Orbit system is "strong as a sack of hammers"!

@jettastreetracer I wasn't referring to freeze damage. It's just that when contractors build homes, they install the cheapest outdoor faucets. When the faucets are turned off, they won't drip. However, when they are turned on, they often drip out of the stem. You can repack the stem, but a leak will reappear a few months later: Cheap faucets. If you hooked that type of faucet to a timer, the faucet would drip water against or near the foundation of the home causing damage.

@jettastreetracer If all else fails, you could install a manifold. Run the two closest heads on one valve, and each of the farthest distance sprinklers on their own separate valve for a total of three valves. Keep in mind that outside faucets tend to be cheap and will drip. If you're using a timer, the faucet may drip even with the sprinklers off, which could lead to expensive repairs.

@jettastreetracer You can experiment by cementing the pipes together above ground, to see how a layout performs. While the faucet and the garden hose won't reduce the psi, they will definitely reduce the gpm. If your faucet has an anti-reverse flow adapter attached, volume is further reduced. The sprinkler that is closest to the faucet maybe should have a smaller nozzle.

Sorry to say it but, the Voyager 2 is the same as the Hunter PGP. And by the way it's not silent I have 2 and I could hear the one by my house all the way across my yard sizzling!

How do you set the home position? Is the only way to screw the cap off, pull the head out and rotate it? On the saturn iv sprinklers, you can just turn the entire head when it's out of the body. I haven't been able to do that on the voyager ii.

What is the difference between the Voyager 55661 and 55662? Are there test results available that show the consistency of distribution (i.e. cup test)?

How do you change the right stop? I'm easily able to change the pattern with the instructions you gave me but the only way to change the right stop is to UNSCREW the entire unit about a quarter turn to get the right stop where I want it. That seems bad, really bad - because if the entire unit isn't on tight I'll have water leaking underground. I think I'm having same problem as Glen W below but the replies don't get to the point of the issue. I guess I'll have to wait a year for a response : ( Oh well, worth a try.

As others have said... This video and the directions leave out the most important part... how to set the direction & angle. This video should show a REAL installation, not just some guy on a TV stage. Hunter PRO SPRAY / MP rotors are WAAAY better but, I get these crappy sprinklers for free so I'm trying to use them.

This is crap! It explains the exact same things as the directions that come with it and yet it still doesn't explain the most important part! What idiots came up with this?! How do you set the direction?! I can change the pattern all that I want and the distance but it doesn't explain how to make it shoot in the direction you want it to!!!

I think you have to unscrew the top and set the "right" direction and then adjust to the left, but not sure.

HappyJigg No, they really did not. What if you have the sprinkler head screwed to he riser where in really cannot be adjusted at that point and then set the home position into the locked position? You are limited to that being your home position. What if the home position is NOT where you want any water going in that direction? Then what?

You unscrew the top to remove the internals making sure the head is at the right stop and place it back in pointing to the right stop.
