Update: I have been contacted by some Voyce/Equiti interpreters who mentioned that they did not receive the termination notice email. I am unsure if this means they will receive the notice later or if some interpreters may not be terminated and will automatically roll over. If the latter is the case, I believe it would be reasonable to ask the company for clarification on the factors behind their decision, although I highly doubt that the company will give a transparent answer. In any case, it is clear that many interpreters have been affected by this mass layoff. My advice remains the same: consider working with multiple LSPs to ensure stability. Stay strong, interpreters!

Hi, thank you for making this video. I m a Canadian interpreter working with Voyce. Feeling anxious about how the future unfolds. I used to work for Kelly Services (for LLS). Don't want to go back to the same sh*t where interpreters are being treated like souless robots.

The thing is it has been with them very tiring because it started to be call center for a long time now bk to bk calls everyday , they started to care about the quantity not the quality anymore , I have not got someone monitoring my calls for months now.

Just great! I worked for Voyce unti ljan. 31st. 10:30 PM my time and ithey did not add those calls to the lastest call log. I emailed to ask when can I expect payment, and in true themselves fashion, they won't answer!! I'm starting to think of this contract cancellation as a gift to my quality of life,, health and sanity.

Anybody noticed that the clients have gotten abrasive towards interpreters? There seems to be a shift with clients acting short, not saying thank you and just turning off the device without saying anything when they are done or if the LEP can speak English. Does anybody know what might be going on on the client side of things?
@david77826Ай бұрын
Hi @kareennn7437 , on my end they've been as nice as usual. It may just be bad luck 😅 or even season related. Most of us (and maybe them too) would just like to be in bed drinking hot chocolate now 'til the new year comes haha.

They have hundreds of interpreters in Latin America which they pay 6$ so reducing more costs? I don’t think so, however they still have the high volume calls so they will need the interpreters, hopefully all interpreters could get a different contract with an Equity partner but of course they will not take into consideration interpreters with low QA scores, not complying with schedules etc

Thank you for your videos. I've got a question though. Maybe I don't understand something, but if they are firing everyone, who's currently doing the job? I haven't received a termination letter yet, doesn't mean I won't so it worries me. But if there are so many fired Interpreters and a call volume is the same, how is the work being done in the meantime?
@masontheinterpreterАй бұрын
Hello there! Thanks for the comment and that's a great question. Of course, I wouldn't know every detail, but my guess is that they have other LSPs that will take their calls. I have more detailed explanation in my latest video: "3 Red Flags in LSPs You Must Avoid!". I hope this helps!
