Thanks for this information. I went ahead and booked a round trip flight with Turkish airline in a few weeks, with 24 hours layover . Got a Hotel reservation from Turkish Airline already. I think I will be staying at Vialand Palace. Looking forward to this trip!

@@rch311 while the Hotel I got was very nice, same place as the mall, getting there was rather a night mare. At the Hotel Desk , I showed a copy of my Hotel reservation from Turkish Airlines. I was told to take Harvanist bus to the hotel. Found out, the bus didn't even go close to the hotel and I had to get a taxi to the hotel at the bus stop. Turkish airlines hotel desk did a very poor communication on this part!

Also, my advice if you want to get the Free hotel stay is to get the Reservation from Turkish airlines website ASAP after you booked the flight. The agent wasn't gonna give me a free hotel, because to them there were other flights available- never mind that those didn't fit my arrival time and most seats were taken already.

Great, thanks heaps for the video. It gives me new insight coz I'll be transitting in Istanbul for 14 hours and will arrive there in the afternoon. Hi juga, untuk go through, agar tidak berasumsi pastikan saat checkin awal tanyakan dan pastikan bahwa go through, seharusnya go through namun agar aman nyaman baiknya dipastikan saat check in ya, jika check in di jakarta tanyakan saat di jakarta.

when you check in make sure you tell them to "go through" by means you'll collect your luggage at your destination, so when u do your transit it's just you and your hand carry.
