Hello! I am a very novice reader. I’ve only done a handful of spreads and single card pulls. Every card I’m reading from a book one by one, which is maybe where a lot of readers start. I have been searching and hoping to find a video just like this that explains the patterns instead of going through each and every card. So many readers teach by explaining each card one by one and it can be daunting to get into. I will watch this video over and over. I’m taking notes in my sketchbook, which I will transfer to other notebooks to learn through hearing and doing over and over. This video is EXTREMELY helpful and it will lead to me doing readings without a book much sooner than I had previously thought possible. Thank you.

I love this! I personally find the court cards extremely helpful especially when seeing 3 or 4 in a spread with knights a battle or arguments Kings too much wisdom/advice Queens too much naturing/overprotective with Pages immature decisions/dependent nature. the older Tarot cards did not have any pictures at all for the minor arcana. Arthur Edward Waite decided to have Pamela Rider draw his own visions for the minor arcana in 1905, that is six hundred years after Tarocchi was introduced in Italy (Tarot is a French word that came later). Fortune telling may have been practiced with cards dating from who knows when, but it is recorded as happening in the mid 18th century in France and became 'locked in' by the end of that century, again 200 years before A.E. Waite. I am glad this video is out here with an alternate and perhaps a better balanced meaning for the cards, since I think A.E. Waite is heavy handed and overly dramatic. Ten of swords has more of a message than "Well you're screwed, buddy" If swords are thought, then 10 would be a completion of that thought and that thought would be 'dead' (like the Rider Waite card) for all intents and purposes...10 of swords can mean the mind severed from the thought. Great video here. Three cheers of creation for the Marseilles Tarot!

Thank you for sharing. I find this method based on numerology interesting too! I think it’s probably quite predictable. I love the visual and poetic aspects of the cards too but they suit themselves to less predictive readings I think. And the pip decks are so much more open for using many aspects of the card :) I love how you say the picture on a card it’s just one snapshot of many possible options

I understand the Swords in RWS deck are often negative because they were meant to represent tribulations, and life's stresses; not the mental aspects commonly attributed to them.
@jamesfforthemasses2 жыл бұрын
Maybe the physical attributes can be ascribed to the fact that when the Marseilles decks were formed our society was more class directed, meaning that certain careers had certain looks, and belonged to certain families. A king looked like a king (they were usually cousins at least), a craftsman looked like a craftsman, and a farmer looked like a farmer then. We are mixed now, thankfully. Knowing a career no longer makes educated guesses at appearance easy.

I sure am glad I found your lecture video and now I am a subscriber to you. I learned about your discovery and the mystery behind the Tarot. I was shocked! But it makes sense! I was about to start making a Tarot Journal. I decided that since I kinda know what is up now that I don't have to work as hard as I thought...I do but not really...Because if there isn't magic behind the Tarot then the meaning of them kinda changes for me. I am going to watch all your video so you can teach me the Tarot and in about 15 years, I'll have to change up my plans for a side hustle because I won't be a stay at home mom anymore and by then Tarot may not be as profitable as it is now...I kinda liked the mystery behind it...I kinda feel like my bubble just got popped...lol it is ok, The Truth Always Comes Out Eventually. Thank You for your honestly and knowledge! Looking forward to watching your other videos!
@VPitisci5 жыл бұрын
Hello Pixie Moon. Thank you for your comments. It's nice to see my message is being understood by others. It's hard to teach something never taught before. The centuries old mind-set of Tarot cards being mysterious is very strong. I'm glad you see what I'm talking about. Yes, taking the mystery out of Tarot cards is like busting a bubble but it also opens up doors to new mystery. The magic is in the mind and we still have much to discover there! With this new insight into why Tarot works we can now explore better methods and applications with this system because now we understand why it is so effective. So things will now evolve with this system. In 15 years you will see a better system in place. Think of it like the automobile. I've been driving a Model-T Ford. You my friend will be driving a Maserati! Ha! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful Tarot journey. PS: I do know professional readers who are still raising children at home. You can too. From one reader to another, have fun with your Tarot path. I'm sure you will do well. Best to you - Vincent

Great video - as usual. However, as lovely as the new location is, the acoustics in the first part of the video had an undertone of an echo, making it harder to make out some on your words. When you changed the camera's direction in the latter part of the video, your voice was clearer. Thought you might like to know camera direction and sound "bounce" does make a difference. Keep up the great work!

Even though you only use 14 meaning for all the suits, I imagine you modify the meaning to fit the suit meanings, no? Like Patience and understanding for the Queen of Swords would apply to thinking and communicating, with the Queen of wands would apply to creativity and work. Something like that.
