People from all corners of the word, all nations, all ages, all genders take Jamaica producers as a "mentors"/ "inspiration". I'm so happy that in my youths, my father showed me this genre. Feeling even blessed about that cause we are from north 😂 a serious vibes. Introduce reggae culture to your children, they wouldn't have money for something else like drugs or alcohol. They will invest into soundsystem and studio to play records and instruments. Jammy$! Tubby's! Sir Coxsone, Byron Lee and each and everybody! Big respect due!

We point to various communities and say that it is the place where Jamaican music started. My take is that while it may seem so, most of these inhabitants were originally from various locations in rural Jamaica. These people or their parents came to Kingston from country to make a better living. Music is an intrinsic part of ALL Jamaicans.

it just shows the journey that dancehall took and the many artist that play a major roll in making what we have today possible for our young artist the sad part is many of them dont know this history and dont bother to visit and learn where it all stem from.. great documentary
@sunninghill6025
@sunninghill6025 Жыл бұрын
Double '00'Qweff, there is NOTHING for the young artist to learn, other than "QUIT BEING FOOLS!"... This only highlight how BLACK MEN and black people in general are ALWAYS exploited by everyone or their talents. They are comfortable only getting enough to eat and can never think beyond the next plate of food!!! Look at who is behind most of dancehall music as producers, managers etc etc!!! Jamaica is one big SLAVE plantation with mixed overseers and nonblacks leading everything. Besides the fame i.e. people knowing their names, most of these artist have NOTHING to show. Absolutely NOTHING!! But guess what? Jamaicans are just happy to have been a part of the show. SMH.....Something is VERY wrong around the world with black people. They dance their @sses off, while they cannot afford a can of Milk the next day,....then they go on to vote to maintain the same poverty line.....I am at a loss for words when I look at the reality. It all stem from LOW SELF ESTEEM!! IDIOCY and POVERTY!! singing and dancing their lives away, while others control them. Yes, some were able to eat after shows, but their race needs more than that.

What most of you don't understand why Jammy was so good with the recording sound as a producer. Jammy is an electronic technician, who use to work on radios 📻, TV📺, and making sound system amplifiers. And to do those things. You have to know the sound in the sounding of electronic things, including amplifier. My music career takes off on the Kingston 11 community. Places like TOWER Hill, Compound, Water House, Penwood. These are is where I got my soundsystem career started, through the inspiration of the Late Uroy, King Tubbys HI Fi, the early young Jammys soundsystem before he went to Canada, then back to Jamaica to start work as an engineer and Producer. So I can tell anyone that Jammy is good producer, and with sound. He's very good at that. I know Jammy about 50 years, before I even start to Dj on soundsystem.
